Enanthleya Jackie Bright ‘Hilo Stars’ A fun hybrid that’s a reliable bloomer. Flowers start out as a greenish-yellow, fading to mustard. And it is a vigorous root producer.

My poor mini orchid got a ton of mealy bugs while I was away and it’s flowers all died, any tips to encourage them to grow back? I got rid of the mealy bug problem but I’m sad the flowers died off.

I’ve had this orchid for two years now and it’s making more of something. Roots or stems, can you help me? How should I help them?

How would I go about attaching my orchids to a piece of wood? Also could I put multiple on the same piece of wood, if so, how many? Could they be different kinds of orchids?

I have a serious question. Are there carnivorous orchids? If not, hear me out, I was at my local orchid shop, and I saw an orchid that looked like a pitcher plant. I didn’t see any of the workers around so I just kept to myself. But I really wondered, is it carnivorous? When I looked into the flower (pitcher) there was a fluid but no insects. Is it an omnivorous, carnivorous, or deceptive?

Hello so I’m kind of new to plants especially orchids. I’ve transferred my orchids to water. As I was looking at them last night I seen this one has a little “nub” does this mean I’m gonna have a bloom on it?! Or is that a root?

I’m thinking about getting a lighting jewel orchid. Can y’all tell me how to water it and any tips and tricks y’all have learned?

I know they aren’t orchids, but content in the group has been rather slow anyway… look at the cartoon plants my kids got me for Mother’s Day! 😍

So my mother in law has a noble dendrobium that needs repotting… is there anything I should know? I’ve only got experience with phalaenopsis orchids. Are they similar in the medium that they need? Help!!

Hello orchid people! I just got this beauty for Mother’s Day — I know it’s usually a no no to repot while it still has blooms but it seems quite sad and cramped in this pot. My other orchid is thriving in the same kind of airy pot that I’ve shown in the last photo. I’d prefer to switch this one over ASAP but don’t want to shock it and lose flowers. Also it is actually cracking through the bottom of this current pot 😂 What are everyone’s thoughts? (I included the two sizes of pot that I thought would be most appropriate but don’t know whether to keep it somewhat cramped or give it more room) Thanks!

Dendrobium nobile “Spring Snow” Surprisingly big flowers with a slight floral and Lemon Pledge scent. And a bit of a surprise. I thought I had screwed up the rest period again. Hooray for hybrids!

A friend of mine was throwing out her orchid after all the flowers fell off. I couldn’t let it be thrown out so I took it and did that thing where they tell you to cut the flower stem 3 nodes up. Well look who just bloomed!

Hello! 👋 Does anyone know how to propagate a moth orchid?

EmJabs

Ok so what’s the deal with this stem? It’s turning brown/yellowish at the top. Leaves are green and look healthy. Backstory: this was growing a shoot and it fell and broke off (the worst) it has another shoot coming from a node that stopped growing. I think I need to trim it but don’t know much about out orchids. I got this one dormant. Appreciate any advice!!
