Hi all! I had a beautiful baby years plant that all of a sudden died! It was almost like it slowly died from roots to the leaves out. It was constantly watered! Never turned yellow or showed signs of that. Anyone else have this happen before? Before and after shown. 6 week span, plan is gone.

I know this isnât a terrarium buddy, but Iâve been propagating this pothos from my betta tank for about 3 months now and the leaves are getting so big!! Iâm thinking of letting it grow up the side of my closet door. Also, the cute little water droplet on the end of its leaf is SO ADORABLE I had to share.

Hi all! Itâs awesome to see a page dedicated to terrariums! I have a terrarium currently with dairy cow isos, springtails, dubias and the king himself bert(MBK). I have to use a grow light due to location and am confused on the term half sun, I know it terms to 4 hours of direct sunlight. I have two grow lights a dual t4 fixture with 6500k lights and one singular 6000k grow light. Below I have the t4 fixture on to show what Iâm working with. I have a few different plants inside: red nerve plant, mother of thousands, inch plant, baby tears, polkadot plant reg and scarlet, prayer plant, krauss moss, and thriving idk moss! I want to ask for recommendations on timing/lighting use. Should I use only one of the fixtures, and if so which one? Thank you in advance and look forward what you have to share!

Iâm looking for some recommendations for terrarium plants. I have a small glass with a suction like lid (shown in the picture) I was hoping to turn into a terrarium but it is about 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) tall and 1 inch (2.54 cm) wide at the top. I would also like to know the needed care for the plants if possible so I can see which ones would be happy together. Thank you!! :)

Have any of you used predatory mites to control fungus gnats in your terrariums? Iâm at the point where I canât have any terrariums because they immediately get infested. đ Which is a problem for my plants that require consistently moist soil. Iâve used neem oil and hydrogen peroxide solutions in the past, but the gnats always come back. I hate them so. Death to fungus gnats.

Hello fellow plant lovers! Iâm looking into building a terrarium (or something similar) with life (insects, fish, invertebrates, etc) to provide additional enrichment for my 2 cats. I know this may sound silly, but I recently moved to a much smaller place with no outdoor area and they are not thrilled. I want to give them any and every opportunity to be even mildly entertained and this is one of the ideas I keep coming back to. Since it would involve life, I want to make sure I get it right. - Are there any resources (educational or otherwise) that helped you when developing your terrariums? - Is there a particular terrarium, set up, or inhabitant you would suggest? - Any other advice, suggestions, or things to watch out for? I definitely need something that can close so the cats canât get into it and to keep the inhabitants safe. I would like something in a 10gal container or smaller. My one cat has poor eye sight so I would like the inhabitants to be more active and visible than perhaps a praying mantis. Thank you for your advice in advance! We appreciate it đđ±đ±đż
