What are some good beginner friendly plants for terrariums? I had a terrarium recently gifted to me from a friend that has several wondering dudes and mother of thousands in it, and I was recently thinking about making one of my own terrariums. I was thinking of doing either a small terrarium filled with succulents or a small jar filled with plants. Also what are some tips for keeping a terrarium thriving? And what are some mistakes to avoid? Inspo pics:

I donât have a terrarium of my own (way too early in my plant career for that) but I will one day âșïž Just posting to tell all of you how cool you are! Terrariums are amazing and people who make and care for them are the coolest people ever. So much respect for what you do! Keep on creating!

I put my drosera aliciae in my terrarium.
Iâm finally doing it! Iâm building my big terrarium this week. Supplies are ordered and some have already arrived. All this because I wanted a Verrucosum. đ€Ł Any advice welcome from those whoâve built a âliving wallâ in a terrarium. Iâll be using expanding foam to attach cork bark to the back wall, with coco coir & sphagnum moss to fill in the gaps.

Just wanted to show and tell one of my terrariums. These guys all started as clippings from my main terrarium (thought the moss is wild-caught). The polka dot on the right just flowered with this vibrant, purple flower, but by now it's gone. I still have the itch to landscape this thing a little, but it's already very pretty.
Dart frog tank growth update đž Itâs definitely not the prettiest frog tank out there, but it gets the job done for my frogs.
Finally made the terrariums I've been planning to make for ages! I only had a small amount of leca to use at the bottom of one, so on the other one I used to broken up terracotta pot that I had laying about. I used specific terrarium soil and also a small layer of charcoal at the bottom. I used bits of moss from my garden. Hopefully it works! We get a lot of magpies in our area that hop about on the roof and pick at the moss and throw it down. So some of the moss in the terrarium has been delivered to me by a magpie!
