i got this one recently, it came w the duck:3 yall got any tips??

Hi All! Newbie here and today I couldn’t resist and brought these beauties home. The lady at the shop says to water them every week and repot in a couple months. They look like they’re really crowded to me. The pot is 2”. What do you think I should do?

The size of this one is laugh out loud. I picked it because I wanted to see what was happening under the hood. I didn't rip the crown apart, but I speculate this is one single Lithops with half-formed twins. The latter might have been pollinated or…do any of you good folks know before I look that up? 😋 This is from good old Home Depot in West Valley, Utah. I sniff 'em out on Sundays when everyone is at church or running 5Ks. (No offense, it’s just a fact that I learned when I collected action figures back in the day.)

My first lithop is splitting! ☺️ When I got it, I almost chose one already in the middle of splitting, but I realized I wanted to see the whole process for myself. I’m really pleased with this little pet rock 😁

I recently potted some baby lithos I ordered off Etsy and am so excited for them! I gave them water after I potted just to set the soil and am going to follow planta’s recs for now. Any advice to help them thrive?

Lithops are such a great teacher of patience! Can you see the growth?! 😅🥹 Planted the seeds in August 2023. I put them back in a zip loc bag as suggested a few months ago, and thats where they still live for now. 🤷🏻‍♀️ What interesting little species these guys are.

If I saw these all a year ago, I would be overwhelmed and concerned about “what’s wrong and what do I do?” Now, I am only moderately nervous over this small field of husks and mangled skin that will magically plump and do, as far as I’m concerned, miraculous things.

These are my first lithops! I’d seen them on Etsy as “plant buddies” and I honestly didn’t even know they were real 😅 Hubbie got me a surprise grab bag from our local shop and this was one of the plants! I’m officially obsessed, I want more!

I thought I was good on Lithops until my Holiday angst kicked in. This happened technically, per the song, on the second day of Christmas. Yes, I give myself presents to deal with mass, sad, tradition-bound Consumerism. That’s just my experience, all. No shade to anyone else’s joy. This season would be different if I were decorating a Saguaro and running around in shorts. I got these two from Mountain Crest Gardens ($11 total). This was also a gamble to get another Lithops species into the mix. I did it!

Has anyone’s lithop grown a secondary growth before? I’ve only seen pics of them flowering 😂

so i’m wondering after i repot my lithops i should water them or leave them be because it’s nearly winter time in my area. I might just wait to repot them because of that factor. Here’s how they look like right now. Some of them are doing pretty good but a few have been consistent wrinkly since i got them fourish months ago

Planted some Lithop seeds four months ago and these two made it! They’re so tiny, but they’ve stayed alive for several months now. Do I adopt the ‘no watering between winter & spring’ when they’re this young? Advice appreciated!

Hi! I bought this little guy 8 months ago and knew nothing about lithops… as you can see he’s all stretched because he was searching for sun - poor guy… I have him under a grow light now and have stopped watering and am waiting for wrinkles. Any suggestions to give him and me some hope??

I am so stoked to see this tiny ice plant splitting! I was so convinced it was going to die. Now I see new leaves like tiny little lips 😊
