I was under the impression that gasteria/ox tongue couldn’t be propagated via leaf cutting, but I’ll be darned if that’s not a tiny little root! I’m excited to see if my experiment results in pups eventually! I started with 4 leaves. I initially let them scab over for a week before adding to water. One went mushy, so I took them out, made fresh cuts, and let them scab over for several more weeks (possibly a month). The three have been chilling in water a while now. So far this is the only promising one. I did recently get SuperThrive and have been adding a drop every other water change. So that could be a trick! Has anyone else propped these?

I have some water props going and they are having a very hard time starting any roots! I’m pretty sure the water I’m using isn’t filtered, so should I move to something like distilled or brita water? Also, are there any suggestions about a good rooting hormone/ root starter I could use? Any and all help and suggestions appreciated:)

Best advice for propagating a monstera deliciosas leaf? Have a few that are dragging the ground (before I got a moss pole) and I’m ready to remove them, but I don’t want to waste them! Thank you!

Can anyone tell me what i’m doing wrong? I’m propagating pothos and the roots always seem to darken and rot, and i just bought a philo florida beauty cutting that was being propagated and the roots are in great shape. Help!

Hello! I purchased this cutting of a tradescantia blushing bride to propagate and it’s looked fine till I potted it a few days ago. I thought it had a decent root system. Yesterday I noticed the brown spots forming. The newer growth at the top looks good tho. Any ideas? TIA!

I leaf has died on my philodendron prop, I don’t think it was getting enough light because it was hidden by the other leaves I tried to re arrange them a bit and it’s hung on for a while but I woke up this morning to it shrivelled :( Does anyone know if my plant will continue to grow from that point now that that leaf has died? (It was previously growing from two places due to how I propped it)

My 5 ft tall Monstera has gotten outta hand, so I’ve started propagating 4 of her leaves with nodes🥰 I love how you can multiply your plants from starts! So much that I’ve got starts off all of my plants, and it’s becoming a jungle in here😂😂 but I’m in love with my newfound green thumb this year.

I put a leaf of my hahni jade snake plant in water 2-3 months ago. It grew a few roots after maybe 4-6 weeks, but didn’t seem to get any further. Then yesterday I found a tiny pup growing!

Bought a cute little cloche at ikea about a month ago and put some rooted silver sword cuttings in leca in there just to see if they’d like it. They’re growing these cool fuzzy water roots into the AIR! So cool 😀

FUNGUS GNATS - help!!! 🦟 Soooooo I believe all my beautiful plants got infected AGAIN 🙃 I’ve been struggling with what I believe is fungus gnats and no amount of repotting / bug spraying / washing plants with water during repotting seems to be helping. I’ve been having issues with yellowing leaves and no surprise it was PESTS, not my watering… Please give me tips to get rid of them!!! how can I get rid of pests forever so they don’t come again??? Would propagating all my plants / re-rooting them help? It’s easy to clean off the leaves but I wonder if it’s the roots that’s my problem, making the gnats come back 😭 Pictures of my beauties for attention.
