When trying to root a schefflera cutting, how long do you let it callous over before placing in water?

Hello! Been steadily growing my houseplant collection, and I received this today (I think it’s an aglaonema?). I considered chucking this in a pot with soil, but now I’m thinking of taking cuttings and propagating them. Where should I cut to get the cuttings for this? Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know if a polka dot plant would root along its stems if they were pinned down into the soil (kinda like you would do for a plant with areal roots. Pothos, monstera etc) My polka dot plant got super leggy, but now has grown new plants at its base It still has the long stems attached with some leafs still doing well at the top, so I staked it up as it was getting floppy. If I took off the dying leafs in the middle and then circled the stems around the pot and pinned them down do we think they’d root? I’ve never been able to prop my polka dot cuttings in water.
My rubber plant cutting.
Ok (please don’t come after me for my dirty screen) I wanted to try and propagate from my massive monstera so I clipped this little one out of the pot and put it in some rain water with a couple drops of Prop Drops. She has gave me 2 new baby leaves!!🍃 I’m so in love with her🥰 My question.. -when should I repot this little joy in her own pot?
My little propagates 🥰🥰 (is that a word? Lol) Planting later today.
I have a miniature rose bush that’s growing tall but I’d like to make her bushier. Does anyone know if soil or water is the best way to root a stem clipping?
I finally successfully rooted Xmas cacti and ones growing a new pad 😭❤️
I sowed these bonsai seeds in Sept 7th and only one is growing the (rocky mountain pine) one. Is there anything that I can do to make the others grow as well?
Saddest looking propagation pot ever… but they will pull it together! I am sure of it:)
My first dwarf umbrella tree ‘variegata’ propagation from a cutting with two leaves attached to a bit of stem with 7 to 9 nodes on it. How long does it take these plants to root?
So proud of my little baby! It keeps growing and there is a second little pup wanting to pop out of the soil! First snake plant propagation that I am successful with! The excitement is beyond words and I know only you all in this group would understand!
My baby’s are growing!!
Hello, so i’ve been interested in roses recently, and in june i took cutting from different roses i have, and i’ve placed them in water for them to grow roots. But idk what these things on the bottom are, and it sure doesn’t look like roots. Can roots still grow? bc those bumps look like they could be blocking root growth. thanks
Why do my propagation sometimes start to rot from the part where it was cut off and make it's way to the top? What can I do to keep this from happening? I really want to have a plant with roots that I can always see.
What I ordered VS what I got. I have it in a container with sphagnum moss, it should be okay right? 😅
Hi everyone! I bought this Florida philodendron (think it’s a beauty but may be a ghost) rooted cutting back in June. It’s rooted well and still looking healthy but there is literally no sign of any growth. So basically I have just a leaf. Am I being too impatient or is there something I can do to help it grow anything 😂
I’m so proud of this Adansonii propagation 🥹. I’ve found that plants will prop much faster in a bottle/ vase that is a darker color or completely opaque.
Im trying to propagate this plant cutting. It has roots (at the bottom and they looked healthy, it also had a newer, thicker root growing) but i also noticed it is growing roots along the healthier parts of the stem. There were some shriveled parts that i circled which i assumed is causing the stems to grow more roots if it isnt able to suck up the water well 🤷♀️. Should i be concerned by that? Would it be better if i cut off the healthier parts to plant directly into soil or will it be ok to leave alone?
Finally decided to repot my string of hearts but I found these?? Should I cut them? Or just repot with it? (I want to repot with a new one, photo on the right) thanks!!! ☺️
