I have tried to propagate my string of turtles from leaves but they keep going brown and mushy. They are in slightly damp soil with high humidity. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I removed all the brown mushy ones before but now the top left one is starting to do the same.

Very new to propagating. Picked up this Swiss Cheese propagation from a local plant store. The leaves are looking so bad - is this its way of telling me to put it in some soil?

Bought these propagation starters about a week ago. (String of hearts, string of turtles, and streptocarpus) I’ve never propagated plants in anything but water. I’ve been misting the covered ones daily and the uncovered a few times a day to keep soil moist. Any other tips??? Should I aim to keep these constantly moist, very wet, or let dry in between watering?

Moved into my sorority house today and on the drive my mini monstera got some cold damage :( any chance at all that the damaged leaves could recover? The tall one unfurled like 2 days ago, I’m so sad

If I have little plants like this with roots, do I need to keep the whole leaf attached, or can I trim some off?

Just a little encouragement for anyone mulling over chopping and propagating their fiddle leaf fig.
I’m so glad I did it! It’s been three months and here is the progress. It looks like it’s going to branch off in 2-3 new directions and has about 6 new leaves with two more ready to pop soon. The prop in the photo I planted last week.
The second cutting is still rooting in water. I don’t know if I would root a flf in water again. It got rot twice and I had to restart the woodier cut. After the fact I heard good things about using perlite or air layering, both were suggested a few times.

I propagated this hoya this summer. It had only 2 leaves and I put it directly into soil and now it has 5 leaves and doing great. I got the start from a friend who is 80 and the mother plant is over 40 years old. I'm so glad to get a great start going and hope I do as well as she has with her plant

I don’t know if I’m in the right group but I have a fiddle fig tree and I’ve had her since February 2024 and she has grown 6 leaves which I’m very grateful for but I’ve noticed that she is just a stick. I love how fiddle figs look when they branch out. Is there a way I could make that happen?
