First time mounting a bromeliad. How’d I do?
This is Berry. She is a 12 year old Arrowhead plant. She was repotted a year or so ago and stays so healthy, but needs more space. She used to stand tall in the sun before they got so long and heavy. How would I go about propagating these crazy offshoots so I can help her? Where would you cut on the coiled areas? They remind me of overgrown dog toenails.
hello fellow planters! I was given some mystery cuttings yesterday and I need your help!! Can someone help me identify these plants? Also any tips for propagating would be wonderful
Hi everyone! I’ve had this plant for a while now and it’s doing really well. How would I propagate it? I’m extremelyyyy new to the world of plants so any tips would be fab 🥰
Any tips to propagating agleonema cuttings?? Cut back my girl a couple of weeks ago and put cut stem with leaves it in water (used some rooting powder) and leaves look great… stem looks great… no roots. I have changed the water. I’m only using distilled water Never done this before…
What is the best way to grow alocasia corms
hello plant loving people! i cut a monstera propagation yesterday and was hoping for some guidance. i’m gonna attach a picture and i’m mainly worried about water propagation, as one of the main aerial roots (blue) are above the stem for a leaf, and i worry about the water ruining that leaf! also i touched the cut site and it’s still sorta moist and squishable to touch with my fingernail, when should i add water to it? 24 hours after cuttihg will be today around 4 and i would say the cut site width is 1.5-2 inches
When growing cuttings in water indefinitely, when is it best to change the water? I’ve seen mixed answers about changing it often or rarely. Thanks!
hi hi i've been having issues with my plants recently i think had some thrips so i removed all leaves and soil (specifically my brasil philodendron) and placed some in leca with water as well as my monstera. i also am going to try to propagate using perlite. How often should i mist the perlite props and for the leafs should I remove the water inside it so there's no sitting water? ps: im also using a grow light so i can keep a close eye on them how long should i leave it on for so they don't get sunburnt?
Hello, I’m new here. I have a pothos plant that has outgrown like this. What is the best option make it fuller or cut it and make more plants ?
They all have roots and leaves❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m not a big propagator because I’m an impatient person. But I did start these two prop boxes this week, and I’m excited to see what I get!
Mango tree has sprouted! 😁
My latest experiment in propagation. I have Spider plants in my prop box, they are doing well and putting out a big root system. But that’s taken a month at least. So I thought I would prop the babies while still attached to Mama. Let’s see how long this takes to get a good root system. I prepared the moist soil in clear pots, misted the babies with water after I determined which to use (4-5 in each pot). I removed bottom leaves and brushed the wet air roots with Mycorhizzea (rooting bacteria) and secured the plants down with 2 inch hairpins. Now it’s wait and hope.
Ok so when I saw the slight browning to the bottom of the stems of my philodendron cuttings, I thought uh oh but as I went to cut off and try again I noticed there’s a root, it’s appeared in 6 days and looks healthy… Is the browning ok?
I’ve never had this happen before—I’ve been propagating a little Hoya cutting since December and has been doing really well, but of course, yesterday I checked on her and her leaves are wrinkled and the new growth is dying but the roots are fine (as of now—we’ll see if that changes). I dipped her in rooting hormone changed the water and put her back under the grow light but no clue what the hell happened😩
Hello! This is my first Prayer Plant and I’m new to propagating. The stem leading to the top part of my plant is browning/thinning. Will this kill the top of the plant? Should I attempt to cut and propagate the top to get her to be fuller and not taller? Any advice is appreciated. I’m a beginner, but am loving learning to care for my plants. Thanks!
Hello all! I know a lot of plant parents (like me :) ) really enjoy watching other people’s plant grow! Sometimes growing our own is considered a hassle. So I’m delivering to yalls! Every day I’m posting a photo of my Chinese ever green ever day! So you can see its progress. Hope you guys enjoy! Day 1 (day I took the cutting): Edit* I added the profile for the plant. It will be up to you guys to pick the name!
This is my Figgy Smalls. He’s about 6 feet tall. Wondering if I should cut the top leaf/stem off or keep letting him grow? I don’t see any areas for new leaves to grow. Please help me, would love any advice (:
when do you think this spider plant prop will be ready to put into soil??
