My first time trying a prop box. Varieties of pothos with nodes. But I am very unsure how the silver string of hearts will do. I have one group in Sphagnum Moss and the other two in a layer of damp paper towels. Will update in a few months with any progress! Christmas Day surprise maybe. 😂
The latest batch of cactus seedlings have moved the grow trays to the pot!
These are sevenish weeks. I'm keeping them out of the sun, misting every several days if needed. I'm not looking forward to the next step, as it's going to require a fully new growing area - note where I have them now... Again, I took these from seed pods left on a Gibbaeum dispar I ordered online last year. I did all the extraction crud but am still unsure which of all these weird sucs are self-pollinating, so I went with it.
My calathea Warscewiczii bloomed a few weeks ago and I have been watching the flower go from a gorgeous flower into something that is now producing seed like pods. I know that this is a sign of a healthy plant, but the flower is now starting to dry out. Can I use the pods that came out of the flower to replant? What should I do with it? If you have experience with this and please help! (Google gives mixed advice). Thank you in advance for the advice.
👋 Plant Newbie here! Has anyone heard of putting Pothos cuttings into your propagation water & propogation cuttings? I am trying it out with a few cuttings, but don’t know if I should commit any further to four more containers of cuttings. Thanks! 🪴
I lobbed off the tops of my polka dot plants. A little rooting hormone and in the dirt they go. I’ve not yet been successful propagating polka dots in either water or dirt but it’d be a shame not to try, right? Any advice is welcome!
Hi everyone! I’m looking for some help with my Pothos propagations. I had one long stem with a few leaves on it, but I learnt that you can propagate individual leaves to get more plants. I’ve done that, and now I can see that I’m getting some good roots, but the new shoots seem to be growing under the water level. Is what I’ve circled in red the new shoot and is it an issue for it to be under water? I’m worried that bc the new shoot is so close to the root I’m going to struggle to continue growing it in water or soil because it would be under the water/soil line and unable to put out new leaves. What can I do in this case?
This WAS a spider plant. All of the leaves yellowed and fell off on their own so I took it out of the pot. I noticed the root system was very healthy..so I decided to repot just the roots in fresh potting soil and sit in the east-facing window sill. Think anything will come of it or should I toss it?
This is what’s left of one of my devils ivy plants that ascended to glory. I’m trying to propagate the leaves but I see one of them isn’t doing so well already. Is this stem rotting? Should I cut it? It’s placed in the window sill of an east-facing window. I replace the water 2-3 days. Just started this week. Any other suggestions?
Is there a chance I can propagate the two? I pulled them off my tradescantia and was wondering if I could save them or not.
Hi!!😄 I got these beauties the other day and need the plant to be shorter due to my space. Wondering if I can plant more of the stem in the soil to accomplish this or if just cutting and having them re-root would be better??
There are lots of beautiful roses where I work. How hard is it for a beginner gardener like me to grow some of them at home?
Any advice on getting these to root? Both have been in the water a little over a month, no new roots at all, however the Purple Heart is growing new leaves.

Last round of TC’s to fill up the nursery cabinet. Heavy on the Philodendrons this time. I just love them and how easy they are to care for and grow!
