Iâm propagating my pothos. I put one cutting in soil and one in water. I watered the soil with rooting hormone and put rooting hormone in the water. The last time I propagated a pothos in water the end just turned brown and mushy and no roots grew, any advice VERY MUCH APPRECIATED, thanks for helping a bumbling plant lover!!!!

Hey guys, can anyone tell me why my roots are growing super long but with no secondary roots? Theyâve been propping for months, I change out the water every week or two, and started adding a bit of fertilizer after the roots grew. The left bulb is philodendron micans, the other ones are satin âpothosâ (scindapsus but idk which kind). The ones in the pink jar have many nodes with roots coming out but theyâre all singular, no secondaries. Also this window theyâre in is east facing and gets morning sun, idk if that matters (and yes I repositioned the leaves so theyâre not in water and not blocking the others, I had just set this down when I took the pic). Any thoughts?
Quick question yall! Iâm new to trying to propagate plants and the only thing I have been successful with is pothos. I am trying to propagate my rose bushes and I have had zero luck. I have added pictures of the parent rose bushes I am attempting to do it with. The methods I have used is putting a cutting in water, putting a cutting in soil with root hormone powder, and scoring a branch while still on the bush + root hormone powder on the scored area and wrapping it in soil/saran wrap and left for a couple of weeks. None worked. What am I doing wrong?
Not sure if this is the place to post it, but Iâm propagating Frangipanis. I have three pots just like this with four cuttings each. What should my next step be? My current thought process/idea is act as if Iâm repotting them and take the ones out with good roots and give them their own pot instead of sharing with other cuttings Any and all advice appreciated!
Will this root? The spiderette has several other leaves to it too but they were weak so they kind of just fell off. It was being propagated in water.
Hello! Iâm fairly new to having plants and these have fallen off of the jade plant I have in my salon. The larger one with the brown base, is it rotting? Calloused? Since they fell off on their own can I still replant them?
Hey plant friends! Iâve already cut some vines from the philodendron, but Iâm not totally sure where to divide them for proper propagation â or which method works best to get healthy roots. Where exactly should I cut each vine to make individual cuttings? (Is one node enough? Leaf required?) Best rooting method for each â water, moss, perlite, LECA? Tips for faster rooting or things to avoid?
Hi these are flowers I'm pretty sure should I keep germanating them for a bit? Thank you
Hi so I got this sweet pepper thingy and they are sprouting a little I don't know when to put it in a bigger thing to grow I wish I could take a picture
My plant has a baby plant! I am trying to separate it so their roots do not become too entangled. Should I cut the root itâs connected to and place in water? Or cut and place in soil. Or something else đ Thanks for your help!
my little succulent prop box, the graptoveria leaves are gone now though.
I just planted some tiny baby milkweeds! Not much to see yet, but i have whorled, swamp, and butterfly milkweed đŠ
What is the best medium for aeration amd should i use it with all my indoor plants? Im using perlite at the moment.
OH MY GOODNESS MY PROPAGATIONS ARE TAKING FORRRRREEEEVVVERRRR. Ahhhhh
Iâm trying to grow a spruce and Iâm worried that the little sprout is dying, but Iâm not sure what Iâm doing wrong. I have him growing next to a window facing north, with a grow light. Iâve been misting him when I water. Heâs in an Airpot. I can give more details if requested.
Hello! I repotted my FLF about a month ago and sheâs been growing like crazy. Iâd really like her to branch, though. Iâm having a hard time figuring out where to chop since the leaves are quite bunched together at the top. Any advice?
Hi! I have a philendron ring of fire and itâs growing well. I noticed this happening on one area (pic 2) and Iâm wondering if this section needs to be propagated or if I should just leave it alone?
Hi all! I attempted to propagate our red robin hedges a few months ago and they didnât end up going so well. I just took a few cuttings of the newer growth and put them in water under a grow light. I have absolutely no idea if you can even propagate them this way but I thought Iâd give it a go. They lasted for about 8 weeks looking super healthy (I changed the water weekly and fertilised every few weeks) and then they got droopy and died. Does anyone have any tips on propagating these, or any sort of hedges or fruit trees as we would like to have a few more on our property and I thought it would be fun to propagate them instead of buying them. Thanks!!
Do these roots like right? Been growing this pothos for almost a month and these are the roots. Iâm not sure if they are healthy, and Iâm unsure exactly how far the roots should be before planting. Any advice? âșïž
Hey all new to this group! Iâve had this baby growing for a month now! I believe itâs a coleus. How much longer till I can plant it? đ„č super excited!!
