i was given a propagation of my friend’s rex begonia. she’s been in water for about five days, and i’m starting to wonder when she’ll grow roots. i’ve included a picture of what i thought was the start of a root, but now i’m not sure. i’m keeping her in a dome to up the humidity, will that make her root faster? she’s in an east facing window that gets about 4-6 hours of sunlight per day.

I was gifted this begonia. It has been in this container for a few weeks and it’s finally rooting. How long do I wait to transplant it in soil? Also, the stem looks too long. Can I trim it down without affecting it? This is my first begonia.

Propped this guy and love watching it grow! Do I have to plant it or can I just leave it in the water?

I primed my ficus elástica and it didn’t give off that while milky substance like it did when I pinched it. What does that mean?

This is a pup I snipped off my Echinopsis Chamaecereus - “Mardi Gras” - earlier this year. The parent bloomed, as well, and looks nuts.

My snake plant made two pups and I separated one of them to give to my friend 🥹 I was really happy to see some beautiful healthy long roots on the baby, I hope it’ll survive a quick plane ride (and of course for a long time after that)! Goodbye little one

i have a calathea that has stopped growing new leaves for the past month or so. i transported it home from college and it has not been happy since. i put it in the bathroom so it can get enough humidity, and there is a window so it’s getting the indirect light it needs. i have trimmed the dead leaves and brown spots shown in the photo. i think i may have overwatered it, but i’m not sure if that would affect its growth. the only other thing i can think of would be to add some fertilizer but other than that i have no idea, so i’d appreciate any suggestions!

My Peace Lily, Bee, has had mold in her soil for the past 3 days. Decided to taker her out of the pot, change her soil, and put her back in the pot. Would’ve gotten a bigger pot if she was rootbound, but her roots aren’t that big. Hope the mold stays gone! 😅😬😐

I visited a big nursery, that grows mainly succulents, a couple of years ago and this is how they propagate their Sedum morganianum, burro’s tail. Literally just tossing a bunch of leaves on top of succulent soil and wait for them to start growing. It was interesting to see! 🌿
