I visited a big nursery, that grows mainly succulents, a couple of years ago and this is how they propagate their Sedum morganianum, burro’s tail. Literally just tossing a bunch of leaves on top of succulent soil and wait for them to start growing. It was interesting to see! 🌿

It works like a charm, I lose leaves every time I water my burros tail and all I do is just toss them back into the plant. I can already see the babies growing and it’s been about 2 months. She was so scrawny when I got her and she’s already filling up nicely.
