Hello! I’m interested in composting but I’m not sure where to start. I’m not sure if it’s possible as I live in an apartment on the second floor, I would keep the composting setup on our balcony.

I have a Myer lemon in a large pot. Last year I noticed these yellow dots. I thought it was a fungus so I dusted. This year the tree has yellowed significantly and even the new leaves are crunchy. I am still getting blooms and fruit forming. I fertilize with Jobes. Any idea what is going on? Should I dig out topsoil and replace it?

Spent this last gorgeous weekend prepping to prep for spring. Working on my winter pots, sowed winter seeds and mowing my lazy winter grass. Come on spring!

They’re bacckkk. I love these first signs of spring! My orange day lilies are popping up. There are also some tulips (I think?) popping up on the left which must have been buried there by squirrels at some point 😂. Don’t mind all the perlite, I dumped a lot of my pest-ridden indoor soil here over the last few months.

I just bought some asiatic lily bulbs. Is it too late to plant them indoors? I’d like to plant them outside this spring. Tips and tricks appreciated! 🌺

First attempt at growing herbs: can someone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong? My seedlings (basil and cilantro) keep falling over like this. I’m growing it indoors under a plant light. The pot is about 4-5 inches deep. I’ve been told to plant them deeper. I did that with my basil, but I’m so nervous that I just killed them 🥲 help?

If you ever doubted the benefit of pinching off new leaf sets!!! I like full plants vs ‘leggy’ ones. I spent about 30 minutes two months ago pinching off new leaf sets from every branch of the coleus. The result is incredible growth of new shoots off every stem.

Would anybody know what this type of plant is????? Found it and pulled it out with a pepper at the bottom.

Hello everyone! I am currently growing an avocado tree and my mom noticed these black ends on our old leaves... Any thought or advice?

I have a big tree. Don’t know because i don’t buy the plant identifier. What is this?

I have an outdoor garden and it had a big 6 foot 2 inch basil. It died and I cut off half of it. It is very big and I don’t want to pull it out because it might hurt my pineapple plant. I tried to pull it out but its roots grow to the railing. What do I do?

So i was a little dumb and planted mint straight in my garden last year, and it has spread like wildfire, is there any way to successfully rid of it, or do i have to just keep digging it up?

I put my seeds in the freezer for a month or two after they arrived from Amazon. I got cherry tomato seeds, spinach seeds, cucumber seeds, and banana pepper seeds. I put them in an egg carton on a heating mat and found seed safe soil for them. Put some water but not a lot because I was scared of overwatering. I was told that they could last a long time if I froze them. Now I’m worried I only just planted them today. Did I do anything wrong? Like should I have planted them in the morning instead of night? Will I need to put my plant light on tomorrow or no? Did I overwater them already? Should I not have done them all on the same day?What can I do from here to make sure they stay healthy?

Any tips for upcoming gardening season? My grandpa told me that he starts some of his seeds ahead of planting season, indoors under grow lights, before transitioning them to the garden according to the weather (we both live in 6B zones). I found a guy on FB marketplace that was selling seeds and things so I definitely have supplies, I just don’t know where to start. More importantly.. I don’t know when to start. Any tips are helpful! This will be my first year having a house with a garden space so fingers crossed. 🤞🌱

I’ve waited 7 months for my shrubby germander to bloom blue flowers and it was worth the wait! 💙 I’m quite new to outdoor gardening, so seeing these blooms was very exciting.
