Newby here! What are the benefits/ downfalls to watering stakes? Small potted garden in the backyard with inpatients, geraniums, pansy’s, petunias, million bells and dahlias.

This is Pete 🌱 He’s my hardest working garden friend. He moved into my lemon tree about two weeks ago, loves to pose for photos and is slowly but surely knocking down the “bad” bug population for me. Seeing him everyday always brings a smile to my face, I feel very lucky that he’s decided to stay 💚

I know this isn’t technically plant related but I’m on a journey to create some shade cloth stake pots! Finished spray painting my floral design on the pots today. I’m going to seal some redwood posts with shellac, paint them white, then paint cartoon bugs all over the posts. Then, I’ll pour concrete into the base and let it cure to hold the posts upright. Going to add drainage holes out the backside and plant some flowers in the pots to bring some extra magic to it. Finally, I’ll mount grommets to the posts so I can attach my shade cloth for my wildflower bed before the summer heat is in full swing! Any project is possible with patience and a little creativity! I’m proud of how the first step came out even though it isn’t perfect :)

Hey everyone, new here and new to gardening. I’m pretty sure this better boy tomato plant is ruined by whatever my housing complex has sprayed but none of my other veggies have been harmed. Do y’all think this plant can be saved or is it pretty much toast?

Help my poor pole beans 🫘 and snap peas 🫛, please?! Started them indoors as seeds last wk of Feb and transplanted to buckets mid March. They sit in full sun south facing breezeway with 8 ft windows. Have taken them outside 2-3 times for sun, air, hardening off: etc. New to gardening (not plants) so unsure how to interpret the yellowing leaves here. Overwatering? Under? Too much light? Not enough? Yellowing started about a week or so ago with the peas and within this week the beans started yellowing and struggling too. Should also say they were growing fast and then seemed to hit a wall in that regard around the same time. TIA for any tips/tricks/diagnoses!
