My bf accidentally overwatered my Helga ! The soil has been very wet still for over a week. A few leaves have rotted off. I’ve skipped watering twice because the soil is still wet but I’m not sure I’m doing what’s best ? Any advice please ?

If anyone is in need of a nice-looking grow light solution for a big sun-loving plant, I would highly recommend IKEA's Trubbnate shade!! Costs about 20 bucks and perfectly fits a SANSI 36W grow light bulb!

My first alocasia! Any tips would be super helpful. I really don’t want her to perish under my care 😅

My Alocasia Jacklyn is pushing out a bunch of corms right at the base. I have grown many Alocasia varieties from corm and even this Jacklyn plant I also grew from corm. I don’t have experience harvesting corms from this variety yet. I think they need more time yet. I decided to repot and bury them a tiny bit since there was roots coming out the bottom of the pot.

Help! This croton’s leaves are drooping and beginning to turn yellow. I know he’s been overwatered. I’m replanting and so worried I’m going to lose him. Any advice? I’ve always had a black thumb and I’m trying to mend my ways.

I am new to indoor plants, but I have been gardening off and on outdoors for most of my life. I want to buy some new plants, and I love foliage (of course) and trailing plants. I already have a pothos and a vinca vine for trailing plants (and other plants) and i'm looking at getting a hoya ropa plant. Are there other foliage plants and possibly trailing plants that you guys would recommend?

Coworker had this beautiful Hoya Ropa plant (amongst others) in his office! He generously allowed me to snap off some of that long strand but I’m so amazed at its size

Tips & advice welcome I’m battling some fungus gnats… I’m trying mosquitoe bits today in my water. I’m letting them soak for 30 min before watering. I bought a carnivorous plant, but I killed it…. I tried a butterwort. Open to other suggestions I’ve also heard neem oil works?? I have pets and small children. Xoxo thanks in advance

So after about 4 months of persistent pampering, my majestic palm has 3 new sprouts (one on each stalk). I rescued this lovely and have lost most of the original branches/leaves (not sure exactly what they are called). Each stalk had maybe 2 leaves on it that slowly turned yellow and brown and died, except for one. One stalk lost everything and had nothing left but the stalk and roots, so I kept it in the soil. I’ve nursed it, changing out the soil and cleaning it off to be sure there were no bugs. I freshened up the roots and have adhered to a good watering system and have noticed one by one a new leaf sprout up on each stalk. The tallest one have been around the longest. They look healthy and I truly cannot wait for them to fully open for me. Fingers crossed this is the start of something good for this little guy.
