Just got this monstera (it is my first one) and Iโ€™m very excited, I am waiting a few days for it to get settled in before I repot it, but are there any tips for what else I should do? Cut roots, cut leaves, how to shine the leaves because they seem to have a dusty powder on them although you canโ€™t tell. I wiped the leaves with water and neem oil but it didnโ€™t take the white off completely. Open to any suggestions!

Sheโ€™s so happy ๐Ÿฅฒ. Iโ€™ve been waiting for this inflorescence to open for weeks. We got home late last night from a weekend trip and she was open and waiting for me, along with a new leaf ๐Ÿฅฐ

OMG guys great news! I got a snake plant, which rounds out my collection of plants for now! A ZZ, a Hoya Rangsan, and a Snake! So excited for her to join! Big Harry Potter nerd, so obviously had to name her Nagini ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ๐Ÿ

Someone please help. I bought this camouflage dieffenbachia from a nice pet shop.. I understand adjust but sheโ€™s just been going downhill. I tried everything and gave less sun, more sun, water correctly. It even dried out In between. I did get another plant from this place and it spread mealy bugs.. but I donโ€™t see anything on her and I donโ€™t think she would decline so rapidly. I even tried more humidity and just stopped

I bought this about a week ago in healthy condition (first picture) 2 days after bringing it home it started to yellow and itโ€™s so sad. Any ideas of what could be going on? Any tips to help my baby thrive? Thanks.

Iโ€™m so sad! What is going on?! I would be so grateful if someone can help me. Just last week i had a beautiful new leaf open up and this morning i woke up to this leaf! All the other leaves are healthy and seem to be doing fine. Any suggestions on what i need to do so no other leave turns yellow? Or what did i that caused it? Thank you.

Hoping these leaves push themselves out soon ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜… theyโ€™ve slowed down trying to both squeeze through the top lol!

My local supermarket had a false aralia โ€œGold Coastโ€ so I had to buy it. I am pretty good at plants but I have already killed this one twice so I am here to ask for advice! Both times, the plant was perfectly healthy, and then a bottom leaf suddenly turned brown and fell off, and very slowly over the course of a couple of months it crept up the plant and killed it. I still have no idea what I did wrong. Any ideas?

Hey guys! I have two monsteras here, one came off the other. I have one in my fish tank, it looks absolutely gorgeous.. while the other is older, and potted, no fenestrations like the other.. what could be going on? I would love to have the one in the pot looking the same.

Hi everybody, no change with my plants so far. I named the Hoya Rya and the ZZ Mia. I know that I should focus on taking care of these and if I get more plants then I probably wonโ€™t take care of them and just focus and learn about a few at a time, but these plants are honestly a little too easy. I know it sounds weird but I was so hyped to take care of plants and now I water them every 24 days or something, and then spritz one every 6 days. So, Iโ€™m kinda wanting more plants because mine are boring. Iโ€™m not gonna actually do it, because I need to take care of these a little bit more first before just getting new ones, but honestly a little bored with them ๐Ÿ˜… just wishing I could be more present in their lives I guess lol. I donโ€™t know if thereโ€™s a way to do that, but if anyone has any magic tips then that would be helpful

Hello there! I was wondering if you think this is a solid leaf philodendron or a monstera of sorts. The leaves appear to be have ripped making the holes appear to be going all the way through. Thank you in advance! (Also Iโ€™m keeping her quarantined until I can clean and repot her in a fresh soil mix in case of bugs/mites lol )

What vendors do you recommend for online purchases of rare or variegated plants?

Hey!! A black thumb here ๐Ÿ˜… My heart has finally healed from my last dead plant, and I went and got two new ones. A ZZ and a Hoya Rangsan. First time trying out Planta so I hope thatโ€™ll fix some things for me! So far adoring my new plants. Especially the ZZ. Plants that donโ€™t flower are just so pretty. Some people just think color and delicacy are beautiful, but I think ground cover, succulents, big leafy plants, and small green ones are the most beautiful. Cross your fingers for me this goes well!! Also any advice on how to take care of these two would be appreciated. Or if you have any name ideas! I really like to name my plants. Call me crazy

Hello everyone! Just got this baby monstera, I have it on the corner of my desk at the moment, wondering if thatโ€™s too much light? Itโ€™s a south facing window, it mainly catches morning light coming from the background of the picture. Due to the angle i get mostly indirect light by late afternoon. Should I back it off and maybe put it on the ground?
