does anyone know how to get frydeks to stop throwing ghost leaves?? this one has given me three ghost leaves since i got it, and the only leaf with chlorophyll just died. what do i do? it's in a pot with another frydek that's perfectly fine so i don't think it's a light/ temp thing. while they are pretty, i'm getting kind of worried LOL, TIA
I received an Alocasia Mickey Mouse variegated TC in a giveaway. It’s my first TC and besides getting a TC acclimation kit, I I don’t know what else to do. I’m planning on ordering fluval and perlite which is what the seller recommended, but I thought I would ask the good people of Planta for their advice. First time TC Owner AND first time Alocasia owner. Although I have admired them my whole life. I grew up down the road from a neighbor with a GIANT elephant ear plant and I always wanted one.
MY BABBYYYY AAHHH!!!! i got this BEAUTY a month or two ago, and it’s given me TWO gorgeous new leaves—the biggest super variegated one at the top, and the newest one coming out. it’s doing so good!! i was so worried i was gonna end up killing her, but i’ve been doing a good job so far!!! 💗💗💗 this is the alocasia dragon scale albo 💯🔥

So I wanted to make sure this was actually the right plant! It was a housewarming gift from my partner, and I did a TERRIBLE job trying to keep it alive and I’m trying to bring it back. Is it labeled as the right plant and does anyone have any advice?
Hanging in there. We had some drought ... Some leaf mites or whatever they are lol. And my frydek wanted to push two flowers which took a lot of energy a long time to produce only for me to snip them 😂. Ready for a spring reset I know that leaves are on the way.

Hi, I changed this bambino into lechuza pon two weeks ago and all the leaves except one are changing color to purple and yellow. Is this normal for them or something is wrong with my baby. Also my first time trying pon. Ty!
Hello! I recently repotted my alocasia negra/plumbea. I found 3 corms and have them sitting I water to hopefully grow. I’ve noticed that they’ve all turned a dark color from the original white when I first peeled them. Is this normal? How long does it take to begin sprouting? These are about 2wks old now.
When fertilizing do you still bottom water? Sorry im still fairly new here. 😊

Well my Ninja is rescued from Walmart finally lost its bad leafs. Im seriously hoping she comes out of the bad I got her from. I've repotted with a good soil mixture. 🤞 im pretty new to this so any advise is welcome ❤️
