My local plant store had just unboxed these! How’d I do for a first time alocasia purchase?

I’m not sure what’s happening to my Alocasia’s leaf? Does anyone know what’s wrong with it and how to prevent or cure it? Thank you! I don’t want this to happen to the other leaves too 😭

hey guys!! i know i have a low humidity issue due to being in not so ideal conditions and having to have my plant stand up against a radiator, im starting a pebble tray but i wanted to ask, does there have to be pebbles? or can i just leave it like this?

Of course after being so proud of how well my silver dragon was doing, this happened 😭 Any suggestions? Should I just bite the bullet, cut the leaves off and start over? ❤️‍🩹 I really want to try to save it since a lot of the leaves seem to have spots of variegation, including the baby I pulled from it..!

does anyone have a mickey mouse that’s thriving? if so, what is your secret? when i got this plant a couple months ago, she had 4 tall, healthy leaves that soon all started to droop. i chopped two of her leaves off that were basically on the ground & she grew 2 more back, but then the older remaining leaves started to droop too. she was planted in peat, which i didn’t disturb at first but then i wondered if it was holding too much water. so i eventually chopped those last leaves, repotted her & removed the death plugs i found, then potted her in molly’s aroid mix. she seemed to thrive after that & grew two MORE leaves (she grows fast at least) but now one is looking like its about to droop off again. what do you want from me, girl??? 😩😂 she’s consistently in bright indirect light near a window & even gets some light from my b.o.p.’s light. i water her with planta’s help, when she’s about 60-70% dry. anyone have any advice?

If you start a corm off in soil, can you switch it to hydro once it develops leaves? Or would that kill it since it’s used to soil?

Picked this beauty (in the front) up off the Lowe’s discount rack today. Can’t figure out which variety it is! The tag said it’s an elephant ear, but after looking at photos, nothing really matches. Thanks in advance!

Can yall help me identify these alos? The app says they’re both dragon scale but they look so different. I wasn’t looking for plants today, but i saw them at Walmart for $17. There was no way i was passing them up 😅

Repotted my alo on the 7th and it’s been doing well. I watered on the 15th and made sure the pot/soil drained well before putting it back under my grow lights. I also turn a humidifier on once a day. Today the larger leaf is drooping. Any thoughts? Did i do or not do something? Is Cornelius just being finicky? Does he need support? Am i a fussy plant mom? 😬

Is this an Alocasia Polly or Mandalay?

Just got this last week and not sure how best to care for it! I love it and don't want to hurt it! It looks like the baby leaf coming in is yellowing, what am I doing wrong? I have not repotted it. Just waiting to let it acclimate to my house. And the leaves are dripping at points, that's just the excreted water right?!

Can some identify the smaller plant below the Polly? Thank you!

Hi all! I have a lil baby Odora Batik that has suddenly started dropping leaves after a new one popped in. No changes in location/humidity/temp, etc. I was reading it normal for immature plants to lose leaves once a new one pops in- is that the case?

Repotted my Alocasia odora today, and ended up finding three cormlets! I’m excited to try my hand at propagating these little nuggets, wish me luck that they grow up as handsome as their dad!
