Hi, my alocasia leaves flopped off this morning and were mushy. I removed the stems and cleaned them off. What should I do now to get the leaves to come back?

Hi everyone!! Does anyone else have a tiny dancer and have any views on whether my 'Elton' looks healthy?! It's my first time with an alocasia and I think I've got a bit of a diva on my hands 💃🌱

Hello! I just received my very first alocasia scalprum. She is very sad from her journey and I want to do everything I can to make sure she bounces back. Right now, she is still in her starter plug which appears to be in some sort of biodegradable mesh. The plug is moist but not wet. I have her sitting under a grow light surrounded by other more mature plants. This is my first time buying a starter plant and first time with an alocasia. Any recommendations for care? Thanks in advance!

Please help what do I do , I have a jacklyn and a batwing and they are just not doing well at all the leafs are yellowing and dropping my batwing is quite new but I have had my jacklyn for while and she was always doing well. I have checked for bugs and root rot but all looks good. I have them on my plant shelf with a grow light and humidifier, has anyone else had this problem and how did I fix it if so 😢☺️ ( Soil damp as they where just watered Befor photo’s where taken )

The rescue Alosacia Polly, picked up from the Coleman's clearance section and ridden with thrips for almost a full year, has finally fully recovered and is now part of the fam:) This guy was my first ever alocasia. I tried every method in the book to get rid of thrips, then after a year of treating with diatomaceous earth and occasional neem oil, and repotting a dozen times, it unfurled a new healthy leaf that wasn't developing any damage for about 3 months now. All other leaves have died off (partly cuz of pests and partly because I had no clue how to take care of this fella, lol), but this one is as big as my palm and is doing great:)🌿 Welcome, lil guy🪴

And so the suffering begins ✌️😔 I'm not sure what's wrong with it, the bigger leaf had started to droop slightly a few days ago, but I have heard a few people say younger alocasias tend to drop a leaf and gain a leaf so I wasn't too worried. Then I moved it from my bottom shelf to the top yesterday because the top shelf tended to have a higher humidity, and the smaller leaf started drooping and getting paler and more yellow. The soil was dry when I checked it so I watered it, but it still hasn't perked up. I know the light is closer on the top shelf so is it possible its just too much light for it?

My Polly is giving me an inflo! She is my first alocasia and I can not count how many times I almost gave up and tossed her! We have finally agreed on how to live together and she is one of my faves. I know alot of you cut them, but I let nature do it's thing. If she wants to flower,...flower. I love it!

Sooooooo met with a lady from marketplace to get this plant. I knew it was an alocasia but which variant I didn’t know, and still don’t know exactly. So anyways. She kept telling me it was an “Angel Wing” I just agreed with her so I could leave lol she sold it to me for $10. Of course I took it and RANNNNNN AWAYYYYY cause I know what it is…..sort of lol when I scan it in Planta, it keeps telling me it’s a frydek, I don’t think it’s. Auseni have one and it doesn’t look like this and is lacking variegation lol. Now Planta tells me it’s a maxkowski. Idk. Someone help. What is this alocasia lol

A week ago from today, I tried switching my alocacia nebula to pon, and about a day later the leaves curled up and haven’t uncurled at all since. It had been doing well in a aeroid mix but I was talked into transitioning to pon, because of its convenient infrequent watering. Its always had its leaves begin to curl when the soil got too dry, and has been pretty dramatic regarding moisture in the past. In the past couple days all the leaves have started yellowing. Non of the roots should he waterlogged and it seems moisture is reaching the top level. Is it just still adjusting? Or any advice that can help it recover?

Hello! I somehow got talked into getting an alocasia recently lol I've heard they can be pretty fickle at times, so I was wondering if anyone had any tips for growing them. I appreciate any help! All the lady told me was to let the soil dry completely before watering it. Right now it's in my little greenhouse shelf with usually about 75%+ humidity depending on the time of day, and the temp usually stays around the mid to high 70s. I'm also not sure if I should repot it now, or wait until spring, since it's not growing out the bottom yet. I know some plants like to be a little cramped, but I am a serial repotter upon receiving plants lol and have luckily never dealt with any of them going into major shock or anything.
