Recently got two new Alocasia’s: An Alocasia wentii and Alocasia zebrina. Any advice on how to best care for these babies would be greatly appreciated. The Alocasia zebrina lives in my bathroom with a grow light and the Alocasia wentii is by my window.

What am I doing wrong with this Alocasia Polly? I checked the roots everything looks fine doesn’t need a repot. The soil is moist not soggy it’s under a grow light I have on my plant stand.

Final colocasia arrivals.. that makes 4. Black coral and redemption varietals. Let's see how they survive the next few weeks. It's summer here, there will only be so much that I can control the humidity with fans and windows etc but I can at least protect them from direct light and provide excellent substrate and water lol.

Alright last Frangelica selfie for a while.... The leaf has unravelled and it is gorgeous! I'm sure it will get huge now!

My Alocasia keeps having leaves turn yellowish green/ brown. I have been removing the leaves when this happens. Any advice on how to keep them green and more healthy? It has a new leaf coming in though…it’s by a window too. Soil is same as it was from local store and never repotted.

Apparently my larger alocasia has plenty of corms in the pot. One has sprouted and thrown up a tiny baby leaf!

I had a rhizome fall out of the pot on a new plant my aunt got me. The house sitter unfortunately put it into water and the bottom was a bit brown and soggy. I wiped off dead material and dried it off but am not sure what to do from here. Should I let it dry and form a callous, or should I repot immediately?

Hi all! I’m new to alocasias these little brown spots were not there a few days ago .. I repotted and it’s now under a grow light but what could the spots be? They look almost sticky ?

I was terrified to receive this guy after he originally got lost in the mail for over a week, but only a few days repotted and in the greenhouse he has already given me a new leaf! Also do we think I let the small leaf grow or snip it off to let the plant focus on newer growth??? Lmk!

Ok it's become an emergency... Etsy is very dangerous. A seller whom I have already received my order from decided to mail me a duplicate order no warning no notification. One of said plants is colocasia which I regret ordering to begin with because they are so large. I can maybe house 1 but every summer it will be very large. I tried to cancel an upcoming order of two colocasia seller said no and we're sending you an extra plant along with them. 🤦🏽‍♂️ And today's surprise delivery now brings the colocasia count to 4! Fully grown these could take up 100 SQ feet of my apartment at least 60-80 😂😂😂

Always on the move every day a new pose. Leaf after leaf.

bought this “jumbo” alocasia from TJ’s yesterday — i doubt that’s the real name lol. it’s in its original (8” diameter) plastic pot. i’ve heard mixed things about the soil / medium that plants are kept in in-store, like this. should i repot right away? should i leave it be? p.s. i think it might be an alocasia macrorrhizos ‘stingray’ ? but lmk if anyone knows for sure
