Sad time. I was hoping to get thru winter with Polly thriving and enjoying the season. But the yellow leaves are starting. Two so far. Last year she went dormant earlier than this. Currently Polly has 15 leaves and two shoots coming out of the ground. I was hoping to start spring with many leaves on her. Oh well she will be back in the spring ready to make another big show.
So proud of my alocasia yukitan princess aurea! Grew this little baby from a corm and she is glorious! Can’t wait till she’s old enough to make new corms of her own 💚
Ok, so I got this alocasia frydek from Facebook marketplace a month ago. From my plant dealer that I frequent often. Anyone. When I got her, she had 2 leaves, just like in her picture. Well one started drooping and pretty much laid flat and she spit out a new leaf. The two leaves have been standing tall till about 4 days ago. The newest leaf is standing straight up while the other is laying onto the side. I guess I’m about to get a new leaf lol but I wanna know what’s the secret to get past this level lol. I want more than 2 leaves. Haha
What’s happening to my beautiful alocasia
My Colocasia is unfurling a new leaf. She fell over a month ago and broke a few stems. Every “AI” plant helper said she was dead. I repotted her and cut off the broken leaves, and now look.
to my absolute surprise my polly fruited!!!! i dont think they're pollinated ( i had no idea the pod was there ) but its so pretty 🥹🥹💖
Just wanted to share my happy variegated family 💕 Ignore the monstera, that tc needs the high humidity currently. A mix of tc and corm grown.

A few of my alocasias that are in leca are yellowing at the end of the leaves, it doesn’t seem to be an underwatering issue but I’m wondering if I’m overwatering/letting the roots stay wet for too long. Any thoughts/tips would be helpful! I’m new ish to using leca!
Needing help. My plant leaves keep getting bigger and then fall and break and I can’t get them to come back and have been cutting them…. I have new ones growing but I need to know what to do with them if they are starting to bend and how to cut it if I’m doing it wrong….
My new zebrina perked up nicely! Also, I was worried that the new leaf on my dragon scale was damaged in shipping but it’s fully unfurled now and it’s gorgeous. After and before pictures of both.

I received this zebrina in the mail today. I think it is stunning and healthy, but possibly because of shipping it’s drooping over. Should I maybe use a stick and plant Velcro tape to help it stand up better? I have some sticks from previous orchids.

Help! I bought this plant last week at the store. It was sopping wet when I bought her and decided I would let her dry out a bit before repotting. I like to give my plants some time to acclimate before repotting or changing soil however last night u noticed a lot of flaking, yellow/browning of leaves. No soft stems or anything she has two new leafs and a pup that look alright but I noticed some brown spots even on the new leaves that are unfurling which I figured aren’t supposed to be there. I am pretty good with my frydek however this is my first Polly and never encountered anything like this with my frydek. Any advice and tips are appreciated! Thank u all in advance 🙂

Help! Just bought an Alocasia Regal Shield and I’ve already lost one leaf to spreading purple blotches and now another leaf has them! What is wrong with my plant?
I got this new green dragon scale Alocasia in the mail today. The full leaves are gorgeous, but a new leaf that was unfurling in transit didn’t fare so well. Do you think I should leave it or remove it? I wasn’t sure if it hurts a plant a lot to cut off a new leaf.
It gave me a new leaf, but at a sacrifice lol snip snip time haha P.s. the other leaves have already turned their backs on him. Thank you for joining my Ted talk haha
