I’m worried about my philo. I see that it’s leaking sap and has these brown bumpy lines. Are these scales or am I being paranoid?!

I found this while I was pulling weeds this afternoon. It’s so pretty I couldn’t bring myself to pull it . Anyone have an idea of what it might be?

Hii! New user here! My name is liv, I absolutely love the plants but I also want to make sure my kitty doesn’t get to them. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to keep my cat away from these beautiful plants? I just moved into my apartment and plan on getting shelves and bookshelves that way i can put some plants there but I know these bigger plants are going to be hard on a shelf.

A fellow plant lover rescued my philodendron silver sword and put it on a trellis! It’s very happy.

This is an older plant and even though it has new leaves unfurling, it doesn’t seem happy to grow taller. Maybe this is just the way the philodendron white wizard is..? 🤷🏻‍♀️

My philo ring of fire has all these spots on it but I don’t see any bugs… anyone know what is causing this??

Hi. The leaves of my billietiae are all pointing inwards. Does anyone know why might be causing that and if I should be concerned?

I’m thinking of trying to grow Rosa Hydroponically, but I’m not sure if that’ll stress her out too much going from soil to water. Any ideas if it would or wouldn’t?

Kysh

Got a big surprise today!! Rosa has a new leaf unfurling!!!

Are these aerial roots growing on my philodendron? If I were to wrap a bit of sphagnum moss around it, would it encourage new growth there, or just make the roots grow? I don’t currently have a moss pole for it to climb so I’m looking for ways to keep her happy and healthy in the meantime!

Hey all! I picked up this little guy at a local plant shop for $5 but with no name and nobody seemed to know what he is outside of “mystery philodendron.” Plant identifier app keeps saying Blushing Philodendron but it also identifies my Painted Lady the same way lol. Can you please tell me what he is. Thanks! Btw: his stems are pinkish/redish if that helps not sure pictures are showing that.

The newest leaf on my Pink Princess! I was worried she might be reverting but it looks like I have more time. 🩷🩷🩷

Hello, this is Mitzi. I set her in water to propagate her and she now has a pretty significant root system compared to what I put her in there with. Could she be planted in a pot with soil now, could she be moved to a larger water bowl, or does she look happy enough where she is for now?

Calling all pruning experts - I’m getting ready to prune my philodendron for the first time in a couple of weeks. I’ve never pruned before, any tips, advice or articles you’d recommend? Am I crazy for thinking it needs to lose 2/3 of its length? I’m based in UK where spring is imminent. Thanks in advance!

Hello philo friends! I’m new to philodendrons and recently received a Summer Glory and the person i got it from said one of the leaves was originally pink but turned back green. Do any of you have any insight on why and how to keep the pink leaves? Pic of Philomena philodendron summer glory 😊
