Calling all pruning experts - I’m getting ready to prune my philodendron for the first time in a couple of weeks. I’ve never pruned before, any tips, advice or articles you’d recommend? Am I crazy for thinking it needs to lose 2/3 of its length? I’m based in UK where spring is imminent. Thanks in advance!

You can cut them at the node and put the node in water and it should grow roots within a month or so. At least that’s what I do with my philodendrons.

I heard that prior to pruning is good to give some water to the plant don’t know if this is true

the amount you prune is totally up to your preferences — definitely cut with the intention of propagating! these make great last-minute gifts too ;)
