Hello friends, I’m a new plant mom and would like some pointers on the best way to care for my new pink princess! She seems a bit sad since bringing her home and has a lot of smaller leaves. Any recommendations on when to repot?

Literally the tiniest Birkin I’ve ever seen putting out the tiniest leaf. So small I almost didn’t see it. These are two pups I pulled off my larger Birkin. I didn’t expect the tiny one to do much but here we are. It’s so cute I had to share!

This is Pheel. He’s my first Philodendron and he’s a White Wave Birkin. I’ve had him since September last year and he seems happy but he’s only been giving me white leaves and he wants to give them to me A LOT! I know that the white leaves won’t photosynthesise and I’ll probably have to chop them off at some point but can anyone tell me if I’m doing alright by my boy or if all these white leaves will harm the overall plant? Also, (and if you’ve read this far I thank you) you can see a couple of teeny tiny leaves in one of the pictures so I was wondering if this would present any problems for him? TIA

I didn’t realize how long the vines were on my Heart Leaf Philodendron! I’ve had this one maybe 20 years and trimmed her up several times already. I propagated again and added a long moss pole so she can can stretch out 💙

Are these over or under watered leaves?

Hi, everyone. I went out of town for 10days and my husband, who thought was helping (bless his heart), watered my philodendron. It is soaking. I pulled off the yellow leaves, drained as much water out of the holes as I can and have it airing out outside of the decorative pot but is there something else I should be doing? I’m afraid it’s going to get root rot.

I just found ONE mealy bug on the bottom of one of my fl ghost leaves. I’ve thoroughly inspected every other plant and coated with neem oil. As for her- I took her out of the soil and dumped it. I soaked the new pot with neem. I soaked her and her root system with neem. And the new soil (my own mix) also was soaked in neem. She’s now quarantined in another room. Any other advice!? Help!!! 🥲

Hi friends, I want to get a pink princess or a white knight philodendron next. But I’m hesitant because every photo I’ve seen shows those variations as being tall and wanting to send up tall stocks with leaves. I’m more interested in vining plants that hang down off a windowsill or from a hanging planter. I like collecting different kinds of pothos and philodendrons. Does the pink princess still hang down and vine the same way the heart shaped philodendron does? Thanks all, Melissa 🪴

Hello all! I recently bought 2 pink princess cuttings off of Facebook Marketplace from 2 separate people. I put them together and then staked them to encourage them to climb. It’s been about a week and the leaves seem to have drooped. It’s in a pot with drainage and I water when mostly dry, maybe every 2 weeks. I have in bright direct/indirect light in a west facing window. I’m new to philodendrons so any tips would be appreciated!!

Update: the leaf completely detached from the stem…the stem was still attached to the plant. A week and a half ago, I had to move my plants from one location to another. Since then, these leaves have started turning yellow. I figured because this room is north-facing and definitely does not get enough light, so I set up some grow lights yesterday. Is “not enough light” all this is or does it look like something more? The brown splotches worry me. The rest of the plant is looks very healthy overall…it even has two new shoots. No signs of pests. I am very certain it is not overwatering.

Hi!! I am needing to repot my heart leaf philo. Does anyone have any advice for me?? I am scared that once I repot it, it will die. It is currently still in the nursery pot. Then I set the nursery pot inside the larger orange one that is in the picture. I noticed roots coming through the bottom of the nursery pot so I’m thinking it’s time to transfer it. Any advice helps!

That leaf started growing in March, and I think has been about the same size for a month. Is this common for a philodendron ring of fire? This is my only philodendron so any advice would be appreciated! I have fertilized and water it when it dries out.
