Hi, everyone. I went out of town for 10days and my husband, who thought was helping (bless his heart), watered my philodendron. It is soaking. I pulled off the yellow leaves, drained as much water out of the holes as I can and have it airing out outside of the decorative pot but is there something else I should be doing? I’m afraid it’s going to get root rot.

    Awh well he tried! Now he will be better next time lol. When I get a new plant with soaked soil (when I don’t want to refresh soil yet) I will put some paper towels or a folded dishrag under to absorb some extra moisture🙌🙌

    It seems like you’re doing everything you can! Hopefully it recovers well!! I recently overwatered my birkin and lost a bunch of leaves from edema 🥲
