I’m so excited my Hoya Memoria has its first bloom.
I am so proud of my little Hoya!! In just 2 months he went from two leaves to THIS! (Yes that's a broken clothes hanger holding it up) He loves the hot humid outside!
I’m doing my best to get a good picture. Mr Hoya Jr seems pretty happy overall, but I’m a little concerned aboit the spots on his leaves. Dr Planta wouldn’t focus on the spots at all for the diagnosis thing, but its best guess was generic watering issues… Is this sun stress on the leaves? He’s in a 4” ceramic draining pot with rePotme’s Imperial Hoya soil mix. I mist him every other day and water him 1x/week (sometimes more like every 10 days with pregnancy brain).
I’m new to Hoyas and picked up this cutie today as a project. Any idea what it is? There wasn’t an id on it.
My Hoya Noona just bloomed and there is another one that’s has formed hope it blooms to. Sorry had a tough time with the pic of the bloom as they are so small.
Good Morning! I know Ive seen a few people post pics of the same hoyas they also bought at Lowes. Im new to plants and so Im wondering does this get repotted soon and do you encourage new growth to wrap around the trellis? Thanks in advance!
My Hoya Crassipetiolata is working hard!😍 She put out only one peduncle last year. She is handling several this growing season.
I need to repot this Hoya which is still in its original pot I bought 2 years ago. I know I need a pot that is 2 inches larger than the current. Any advice on the type of dirt I use?
What the heck? Lol My ganung gading vine split into two about an inch above the node… anyone ever seen this before? Pretty cool!
I was so excited to find this Mathilda Splash at my local home depot!
my very first hoya 🫶🏻
i’m new to hoyas and got this one a few months ago. i just repotted it and attached a small trellis. any advice on how to promote healthy growth and flowering?
My first flower is en route!!! 🥰🪴
Why is this happening?? What can I do about it? How can I avoid it from happening again?
The first set of flowers finally opened on my Hoya Pubicalyx ‘Pink Silver!’ 😍
I got two seed pods from my hoyas this summer. One is from my Hoya Heuschkeliana, yellow flowers. The other is from my Hoya Krohniana Black (shown). It got rained on last night in the middle of the seed pod opening. Hoyas have short lived seeds that must be planted the same season the pods open. So, the late season forces me to germinate these indoors with a grow light and seed starter setup. I don’t have much luck with this process. So, I’m hesitant to invest too much money and effort. But, I really want to see the plants. The seeds could be a cross pollination of a few hoyas in bloom including Hoyas Lacunosa, Lacunosa Snow Caps, Noona, Krohniana Super Silver, Multiflora, Cumingiana, and Gracilis.
I’m not as successful with my Hoya plants as I have been with my others. I got this one just a few weeks ago. She had 2 pinkish leaves that both fell off on their own. She was also very floppy when she arrived in the mail. The bottom leaves have been like that since she arrived. She is no longer floppy and seems to be healthier, but I’m not the best at being able to tell. She feels sturdy in her pot now. My other one had a trailing vine that I accidentally broke off! 😭 I think they’re getting the correct water and sun ratios. What do you think? Do they look OK? Do you have any advice?
Hoya incrassata.. the new leaf, is it sun stress or illness? Hard to tell from pic, but the discoloration is reddish pink, not brown. Do they get sunburn? It’s been like inches away from a grow light..
One of my favorites, such a fast grower.
Show me your climbing or trailing Hoya krimson queens for inspo. She is one of my absolute faves and I want to make sure I’m giving her the best environment. I had her in the house in a north facing window. I moved her outside on my backporch with super high humidity. She was getting viny with no leaves on the vines so I gave her a couple of orchid stakes and now she is climbing and leafing like crazy. But I don’t know if I like the orchid stakes so I want to see how you guys are doing it with the same type of plant.
