I suspected my Hoya sp. SR 2007-13, Loei Province (Thailand), had flat mites because it didn’t put out new growth after arriving months ago. Plus, it had small lumps at the ends of the vines. I never found any mites. I even cut off a mushroom shaped lump and found nothing. I thought I had no fate with it until I moved it into bright morning sunlight. It also got 3 days of heavy rain. Then, it’s started to sprout new growth and grew a new leaf. I’m estatic! I’m going to give it filtered or rain water and keep it in direct sunlight. 💕🪴💕

These blooms are extra juicy after three days of much needed heavy rains. The scent on the Obovata is a light sweet perfume.
These are the first blooms on my Hoya Finlaysonii!😍 The peduncle is about 1/2” long. I’m not smelling any scent from the flowers. Maybe the scent is prominent at night.

First blooms on my Hoya Heuschkeliana pink!😍 Unfortunately, only the non variegated vines are blooming. Smells like buttered popcorn and butterscotch. 🧈🪴

I can't believe this little guy. I rescued him 4 years ago and he was in a big pot and I didn't know any better back then so I left him in that pot. He had 4 leaves when I got him and lost 2 pretty quick when I brought him home. He only had the 2 leaves till about October and a 3rd one started to grow, but it stayed dark and twisted. Well I found this app in Dec and started to learn I had no clue about house plants and that's why I kept killing them. Then I started reading all the info all you great people wrote (For me and others) and I replanted this little one and he is adding 5 new leaves right now. I am so happy with him and all the great help from you all. THANKS

I got this today at home depot and it says "sea stone" Hoya and I can't find anyrhing about it. Good images gives me a different result every time. Does anyone know what this is?

My hoya carnosa 'krimson princess' has a few vines that are reverting. She was in a lot more shade previously then where she is now and went through a move. She seems to love her new spot and has put out plenty of new growth. I'm just not sure what to do about the reverted vines. I don't necessarily want to chop them just yet until the variegated vines grow more. I dont want to leave a big hole when she is so pretty and bushy right now. Maybe it's a long term fix, but I want her to be fully variegated.

Fun fact; when you see ensis at the end of a Hoya name, it indicates a place of origin.
This Hoya was originally collected in the Chinese province of hainan.

The first bloom on my Hoya Bella to go full term in three years! All the other peduncles grew to 1/4” and fell off. This is one of the first hoyas I bought three years ago after the seller convinced me it was an easy bloomer. I’ve moved it to 6 locations in and out of the sun, fought white, black and orange aphids and gave it grow lights in winter. I gave it filtered sunlight outside where it’s humid and hot. It thanked me with a flower.
