First time plant owner. And my plant now has tiny bugs in it. I just realized it and i don’t know where they came from or if it’s okay. Please help.

    I use diluted neem oil on my plants to repel and kill pests. You can also use a diluted peroxide water mix to kill the pests.

      Should i just pour that in or mist it?

      I would spray it down and then water the soil as when you water.

    What do the bugs look like? Google "common houseplant pests" there is a lot of info on dealing with them but it helps to know what you've got

    Leave the spider it’s probably eating the gnats 🤣

    Gnats aren't so bad! They're probably fungus gnats, they live in the soil. They don't hurt the plant. Some people have trouble with too many gnats but I haven't experienced that, I only get a few at a time. But I think you can get beneficial nematodes at most garden centers that will eat the gnat larvae, if you want.

    I have a pot of carnivorous sundews and butterworts among my plants and they have really taken care of the gnats ....and also its an excuse to have more plants🤣
