Hi everyone, I’m new to the group and the app. Hoping it brings a little organization to my chaotic plant life! 😅 I am definitely a Hoya Hoarder. My first ever plant I propagated from a cutting was a Hoya, I was hooked from then on. Here is my first plant, still thriving but looking for any advice on how I can improve caring for it now that it is over 30.

I was gifted a Hoya Rope Compacta for the holiday and it came with evidence of a mealy bug infestation. I’ve not found a bug yet, but I’ve seen the white cottony stuff. I know pests are a likely issue with this kind of Hoya, but I’m wondering what your best tips are for Hoya Rope care and if you like having one in your collection. :) Thanks!

Hi! I’m a new Hoya momma. I transferred her to water because I’m better at keeping plants alive there, will need to replant in soil soon. But other than that, is it normal for the vine to grow and the leaves to slowly grow at the top of that vine, and not at the bottom?? I see another leaf growing but just wondered if this looks right. Any advice or perspective would be helpful! Thank you! 🍃
My thick leaf Hoya Fraterna is not quite happy with its north facing window seat location! He expressed his displeasure by dropping the new growth! He will be reseated on a lit table with other non-paying residents. Some assembly in work. 😄 My smallest Hoya Krinkle 8 is very happy in the same window. He doubled in size this past summer. He’s my first plant bought last year off Amazon as a test plant purchase. I’m very happy with both of them

Hello! I have some questions about caring for my adelonema wallisii. I’m pretty new to having plants and got this one about a month ago at the grocery store on clearance. Planta has me on a watering schedule of every 11th day, but around every 7th day the leaves get super droopy. This has happened a few times and I’ve just watered it after I notice it like that and within a few hours it’s back to looking tall and lively. I’ve tried shifting it to rooms in my house with less direct sunlight and further from windows, but it still gets droopy before the 11th day. Below is a picture of what it looks like right now (watered 5 days ago) versus shortly after being watered. Is this as simple as I should change to watering it weekly (or whenever it gets droopy)? Or am I making the issues worse by watering it? How much should I be watering it at a time? Any other tips? It lives in my house which stays around 70 degrees and I have pretty hard water if these things make any difference. Thanks!!
My big leaf hoyas arrived! Early Christmas presents to myself! 🎁 Hoya Australis Tonga with round glossy leaves in a 4” pot. Hoya sp 97005 with a 10” leaf in a 5” pot.

This is one of my favourite plants. I didn’t know how to take care of it properly for a long time and it lost so many leaves after I got it. I transferred it to leca a year ago and put it on my southwest windowsill in June, and it’s really taken off!
Look, look, looooook! A baby leaf. I thought I killed the poor thing. Good reason never to throw a plant away cuz ya never know lol. Had to share P.s. is it normal for the leaf to come through looking spotty and purpleish? My word. lol
