Kale (red russian) keeps getting aphids/don’t seem to wanna die. I have spritzed with 3:1 / water : apple cider vinegar solution last week and last night with 3:1 / water : cooking vinegar (5% acidity) solution Is trying cleaning vinegar (30% acidity) at a 3:1 dilution worth trying? Should I try replacing soil/treating it with something? Either way I need to eradicate the aphids before these plants go back outside in 10ish weeks. Who has alternative methods for aphid removal. Airflow is good/plants have healthy indoor air circulation and the plant (2ish feet tall) is otherwise healthy. I don’t want the infestation to spread. I’m running out of leaves to just chop off!

Excited to try out some fig varieties again. Got some unk yellow cuttings. And some seeds for palatable N1, panache, and martineca rimada. Have only done from cuttings so should be a learning process. I also haven't tried this "fig pop" method before

So, I was doing some research on homemade fertilizers, and I came across this website called JADAM it's basically a group research on how to make fertilizers, pesticides, etc. from things in the garden or for relatively cheap. It's based in Korea and the creator and other participants started this cause they basically wanted to try and decommercialize farming. I was wondering if anyones tried this and if so how well does it work? it seems like everything in the book is on their website but formatting is p bad in my opinion so it makes it hard to find things so I am thinking about getting the book. But from what I could find it seemed plausible?

The state I live in it’s cold I have started an indoor garden with garlic and bell peppers the bell peppers have started sprouting should I put a plastic bag on it what should I do o tried to do this last year and they all died

How can I tell if a spot is full sun full shade or part sun part shade

It’s really snowy outside and cold where I am so I moved my strawberry inside to my mildly cold mud room. I know near nothing about gardening and usually stick to house plants so uh is this normal for the winter? Um literally any knowledge about strawberries will help. Thanks🤍🍓

hey all! i just recently and semi-spontaneously bought a sweet basil plant from the grocery store for a recipe i was making. to prevent waste i planted it in a pot to try to keep. i always have issues with keeping grocery store plants alive, despite the fact that i water them immediately and pot them in a large enough terracotta pot with a drainage hole. are they engineered to die or am i just especially unlucky? been unsuccessful with grocery store rosemary live plants before too. any tips would be appreciated, am definitely a plant newbie! the photo is from when i potted her yesterday and the plant has already begun to wilt slightly this morning. the plant itself is very large and top heavy but the root system was in a very compacted plastic nursery pot (at time of purchase) so it’s really only 2 inches x 2 inches x 3 inches. i have not fertilized yet because i only have house plant fertilizer and didn’t know if this was okay to use on edible plants. i’ve been keeping her inside because it’s very cold outside where i live. let me know if i can provide any further information. thanks!
