An attempt at an indoor salad garden, since I was slow in planting, and it is now too hot to plant salad greens in Central Florida. I am in zone 10a. I eat a lot of salad and don’t want to wait until the fall to plant more salad greens. If this experiment doesn’t work, oh well, at least I tried; however, I do see some sprouts coming up. I have radishes planted in another location under grow lights, and I’m going to move them to this tower. A couple radishes actually sprouted in this tower already, so they will be getting company. I also have Romaine lettuce, and I’m about to plant spinach in the top layers.

My snap pea was growing a small vine, so I put a wooden stick next to it as a makeshift trellis. A few hours later, the vine curled around the stick!! It looks sooo cute!!!

Grew this Hawaiian papaya from seeds (from one i bought at a grocery store and ate). Had 7 seedlings but only this one survived a repotting effort. So, I live in a condo, with balconies, zone 10b, and I grew these indoors just under my plant grow lights with the other houseplants. But now this little guy is 4 ft tall and I want to plan for its future. I don’t have ground to plant it in. I could: - Repot and get a taller grow light (I have a high ceiling area of the condo) - Sell? - Dwarf it but I’m not experienced - also it needs a few buddies if it has any hope of fruiting, I think there have to be a mixture of male/female for this tree If I really want to keep it I should sprout another batch of seeds, repot, more lights, go all in I suppose. Just wanting a reality check here.

I was finally able to get back into my vegetable garden, which I love 💕 Zone 10 patio and some cabbage inside! Over 10 varieties of peppers!

Can I ask what in the world might be up with my cocozelle zucchini plant not growing at all? I tagged her for the images but here's what's up: - 📍We're in 9A and I got this from a tiny gardening festival in March. She was in a "bleh" state. - ☀️She gets full sunlight at least 8h a day in my concrete garden bed. I'm aware of the heat in concrete so I think she's about 6in away from the edge. - 💦I've been watering maybe twice a week I think, if not more. At first it was yellowing a bit, but I assume that was because of the transplant stress from a pot to a garden bed. Then it went back to this greenish yellow. And I looked stuff up, it's apparently normal for it to turn such colors anyways. Almost a month later and it's almost like it hasn't grown even one new leaf. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Very very very slowly, only a couple of the leaves have gotten maybe 1cm bigger. I thought for a second it might be the dang leaf miners and caterpillars, but there isn't one hole or miner tunnel in here. There are white flies ▫️🪰 everywhere in the evening if that is an issue, but I have Thuricide and Neem oil that have splashed onto her from spraying my other plants near her. And even if that's bad, I only just bought that a week ago.

Hello all! While I'm not new to fruiting plants, I've never owned them specifically for harvests, and I'm just now becoming interested. Does anyone have recommendations for plants that can survive indoors, in pots, and still produce decently sized harvests? I'm in FL so light, heat, and humidity are no problem. I currently have sweet peppers and cherry tomatoes, and am in the process of starting seeds for pineapple and blueberry (fingers crossed these blueberries don't die, I have horrible luck with them). I may move them outside eventually, but they will forever be in pots, as I'm not a fan of putting non-native plants in the ground even if they're not considered invasive in my area. Tips and tricks also welcome! TIA

Round two of seedlings. I had no success last year because…user error. 😆 This year, I’m trying again with some different seedlings and different plants. In less than a week, sprouts! I germinated them indoors in one of my guest rooms under a grow lamp. I am in zone 10a, so it is getting too hot for me to germinate some of these outdoors in the satanic Florida sun. 😆 Beans are in the top left. I’m growing those for the first time next to the beans are marigolds only a few have germinated, but I’m still waiting because I think more will come up. The bottom left are zinnias I got as an appreciation gift from a coworker earlier this year. She is also into planting, so I’m going to talk to her tomorrow and show her these seedlings that are her gift to me. On the bottom right…this part is hilarious 🤣…half are radishes, and half are squash. After I sowed the seeds, I was moving them to my guest room…and before I got up from my kitchen table, I spilled them on the table! 😱🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤣 The dirt didn’t fall all the way out, so after I screamed in true ADHD fashion, I took the dirt, scooped it out, and put it back. Don’t know which side is squash or which side is radishes, but I’m sure I will soon found find out. I don’t know what they look like when they are growing, because I have never grown them before. I plan on keeping the radishes indoors because it’s too hot right now for them to be grown outside, but everybody else is going outside when they have matured to the point of being transplanted. I plan on growing salad items indoors as I eat a whole lot of salad, and then sow them outdoors in the fall. I will succession plant during this week. 👍🏽👍🏽

Would now be a good time to harvest this baby bok choy? 4 plants, each in a 10 or 12 inch pot. when you extend them, they for sure aren't more than a foot long, but they're also definitely more than 8 inches.

do my carrot 🥕 and tomato look leggy ?

Okay need some blueberry help. I bought these blueberries last year, and left them in the original store pot because I wasn’t sure where they would be long term. They sat in those pots thru the winter. They didnt look sad, just cramped. When I did transplant them maybe a month ago, they were already flowering. I transplanted them into acidic soil with sand, added some blueberry fertilizer. They were happy at first, now they look like shit. I live in Manteca, close to Sacramento,zone 9b. They’re high bush which is supposed to be better for heat. My question is, what the is happening? I can’t tell if this is a mummy berry situation or just under watered. I was watering them more like a flower, around the outer edge and kinda sparsely.
