I would love to plant a fruit tree in a container on my deck. Is there a tree that will thrive in a container and survive a Zone 6 winter; I don’t have the ability to move it inside.

Im growing a pumpkin in glass jar filled with water (which is proving harder than it looks) it’s been doing alright other than some nutrient deficiencies as I was figuring out how much fertilizer i needed in the water. Recently the first 4 leaves that had grown are starting to get this crunchy ridge on them. I have had a few plants sunburn in my window so I was wondering if that was the case here or if there’s something else. the new leaves are beautifully green and don’t have this problem. I think it might be sunburn but the one thats on the opposite side is having a similar problem so im skeptical

Any suggestions for what to do with in ground basil plants in fall/winter? Should I re-plant in a pot and bring indoors for the next couple seasons or would that shock them too much? I live on the West Coast, Eastern Washington state...

I got a Meyer Lemon at the beginning of the summer from Costco. It was in a small pot (3 gallons?) and had the lemon, a Persian lime and Key Lime plant all in the same pot. I didn’t want their root systems growing together any more than they already had so upon getting them home I split them apart and put each one into a 7 gallon pot. They have spent most of the summer recovering from the trauma of losing roots when being separated and repotted. The key lime seems to have suffered the most though it is still healthy, it didn’t flower and lost most of its leaves. Over the last couple of weeks it has pushed new leaves and finally seems to be rebounding. The Persian lime has 7 good sized limes that should be ready to harvest within a couple of weeks. Not bad for a tiny plant with three branches! This brings me to the Meyer Lemon. For some reason this tree has decided that it is spring and over the last week has pushed out numerous (at least 5) large clumps of flowers. When I went to check on it yesterday after the morning rain it was happily being pollinated by the areas bee population. I am thrilled! However, I live in Tennessee where Planta now has me scheduled to winterize the plants within the next week. I had always planned to bring them indoors for winter but am wondering what, if anything, I can do to encourage the pollinated flowers to set and grow the fruit indoors over the winter? Has anyone had any luck with indoor citrus? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
