I would love to plant a fruit tree in a container on my deck. Is there a tree that will thrive in a container and survive a Zone 6 winter; I don’t have the ability to move it inside.

    Zone 6B here! Hello neighbour! 👋 I don’t know anything that will survive our winter outside off the top of my head. If you do get something and can’t bring it into a shed/garage then you’d need to wrap the plant in burlap/plant fabric and really protect the roots and soil extremely well. (Esp if we get snow again like we got last year! 🥶)

      I actually have a lilac in a huge pot. I plated it last year and it survived last winter. It did pretty well. I was sick then and didn’t even protect it; I was hoping some tree can make it too haha

      Nice! Glad your lilac survived, esp with that killer amt of snow we had. Our street had piles 6’ tall! I didn’t know you could do lilac in a pot, I’ve always wanted one but thought they needed to be in the ground.

    I bought a baby pomegranate tree earlier this year that is outside in zone 7b. It’s supposed to be good down to -5 degrees F. I also have a new brown turkey fig that’s frost tolerant to 20 degrees.
