Just was wondering, has anyone here successfully had a fruit tree in a pot? I’ve heard of it being done, but how does one actually do it? I’d love to have fruit trees but I’m confined to an apartment at the moment with a small porch.

    Yes, I have a guava and a kumquat plant in pots that fruit

      May I ask how long did you have them prior to them fruiting? I know that many take a few years before you actually get to enjoy the harvest

    About a year, they’re both grafted so that usually speeds things up a bit

    I’m also in an apartment! I have a lemon and a lime tree both in pots with fruit. They love sun so I leave them on my porch(which is south/west facing). Try using a pallet turned on the side for more space to put plants without taking up too much space. You can buy more mature trees that will fruit faster if you don’t want to wait, but growing from seeds is so fulfilling. Hope this helps.
