Iâm so happy with the growth of my string of pearls. It started out in this tiny teacup at a flower shop and now itâs thriving in its coffee mug. Once spring hits Iâm going to transfer it over to a bigger pot with proper drainage. â€ïž

Benny was doing great after I rescued him. But then he got fungus gnats and I think I waited too long to treat them (I had some personal stuff going on atm) and now half of him is mushy and deflated. Is he doomed at this point or can I still save him?? đ©đ© Sidenote since getting into plants it seems every succulent/cactus I get seems to not like me. I havenât had great luck with them surprisingly, I do much better with foliage plants it seems! What kind of backwards logic is that?? đ€Șđ„Č
Hi this is my first string of plant and Iâm very nervous. I got it a month and a half ago now. She started out very long but then some of her bananas started turning black and dried. This keeps happening. I keep cutting it back. Iâve upped my water and hasnât helped, and just yesterday moved it to a new spot with hopefully a little more light (East to West window). I donât know what else to do and I donât know what Iâm doing wrong :( can someone please help me?
Hey all, just cant be sure which cactuses Iâve got here, can anybody help me identify them! Cactus One Planta tells me is a âTree Cactusâ, Cactus Two I think is a âSilver Torch Cactusâ but am not sure and Cactus Three I think is either a baby âOld Man Cactusâ or an âOld Man of the Andesâ. Thanks in Advance. X
âThe roots of this species will fill up the potââis the only phrase I remember about this one. It did this year, and it was looking very confused. Old photo shows the propagations I toyed with before I had to move. Smashed up shale courtesy of a day of trilobite hunting in Delta, Utah (circa 2018). At the end of the dig, the owner told me take as much shale as I want. I didnât have plants at the time, so I âonlyâ took around 30 pounds for no good reason than decorating the yard. After a few years, most of the pieces froze/cooked/split into thin layers and revealed fossils. A guy painting my house had to remind me, âYou know you have trilobites in your yard?â
Would you all just cut these off now that the flowers are dry and itâs not making more flowers? Anything to do with the flowers/pollen? Thanks!
Are Lichen considered a succulent?đ€ Just cleaned up my garden today and brought in the plants for winter. I didnât forget the lichens I found after a big storm back in June. They got a prime spot on my porch next to the screen. Lol
My once beautiful variegated jade is not soft and limp and dropping leaves. Nothing has changed with the watering and just a bit less light due to the season changing. Could this be some sort of infection or powdery mildew? Iâve brought this plant back from powdery mildew once over a year ago and it had been thriving until a few weeks ago.
I have two things. 1. Iâm in Florida. Should I take the same winter care steps as other states? I feel like itâs a stupid question, but I have some seeds sprouting. 2. Just repotted these guys. Are the pots too big or no?
I have about 8 kalanchoe, all different colors. If I pot them in one huge pot, will they keep their original colors? My peonies outside all blended which is why Iâm asking.
can you believe my haworthia started from ONE ?! now it has had over 10 babies!! so proud of this plant :))
I was given this plant recently by a friend and it seems like itâs in bad shape. Anyone know what it is and how to propagate it?
My sand rose is stretched out and floppy with tiny hairs! I have a grow light now as I think it was desperate for light but any suggestions? Should I trim it back? Prop it up? Thank you! đ±
Talk about long legs. Hubba hubba. Check out the long gams on my Cylinder Snake Plant.đ (Now Iâve jinxed myself due to pride so itâll struggle.đ)
whatâs this guy up to?
I had this plant and it didnât get enough sun so it got long like this. I put it in better light and the base is doing better but the top is still thin and floppy. Can I cut the top off or do something to make it stronger?
I had a beauttttttiful ruby necklace over the summer that got half dried out when I moved in August :( cut off the dried pieces and am going to try to propagate! Has anyone successfully propogated these?
I like using my little paddle plant pups this way.
We have full bloom!!!
Seeing two together makes me want a fleet. Note, I need to resubmit to have this one added to the Planta DB :) These grow in Brazil and require some misting on hot days. Honestly, that is about all I know haha. I had potted my first one in some moisture-wicking Vermiculite (it keeps the pot a little humid, and it heats up during the day, Too much vermiculite also leeched the moisture my tall green dudes. It was an experiment I corrected after a month. But yo, despite being the size of a quarter, the sexiest plant alive goes toâŠ
