I’m new to having plants and was told succulents were a good first start. I saw this group of succulents and thought it was so pretty and had to have it. I got it around Christmas time and so far it’s been good. I just want to know any tips or advice from people who know more than me because I want them to thrive. I have not repotted them and was told by the store employee I wouldn’t need to but I’m wondering if I should repot at least one of them? Idrk I need help and would love advice or suggestions. Caretaking: I have them hanging above my sink in my kitchen by the window. I water them every 3-4 days depending on if the soil is wet (I put my finger in the soil about first knuckle deep) they get about 5/6hrs of direct sunlight because of where the window is in the house. Other than that I don’t know if there’s more I should know/do. Thank you in advance.

I had an idea. Here it is haha. Five types of Euphorbia (all clipped from my plants) in what looks like a Thunderdome situation. Depending on the source, the debate of filtered vs direct light for various Euphorbia differs. I’m going to figure that out.

Help! Plant newb here 👋🏻 I’ve had this cactus for about 2.5 years. After a year I finally figured out how to properly water cactuses and he was doing so well that he needed a bigger pot (there was originally 2 but then he grew 2 babies)… well that’s when the issues started. Mistakes were made in this process and I caused root rot with improper soil/drainage. (This was done in the fall) After figuring this out and losing one of the babies 😭… I cleaned up the rot, repotted him in proper soil etc.. (I did this 15 days ago) he seemed to be doing much better again. Had regained some colour. Well… now I’ve noticed the smallest one has a huge black spot on the back.. anyone know what to do?… is this a sign that he’s healing from the rot…? Or that I didn’t do well enough cleaning it off and he’s still rotting?? I misted the soil a few days after cleaning him up but otherwise have not watered him at all since. (The new soil was dry) *last photo is from the day I cleaned him up

This is my aloe plant today 1/10/24. I have to get a pot that has wholes in it but other than that I’m not sure if it’s growing healthy or if there’s anything I can do to help it grow healthy if it’s not. Does anyone have tips on how I can’t make it look better if it needs it?

I need your help I bought myself a Birthday Present 🤭 I purchased a String of Hearts at an online website and this is what I got personally I don’t like the appearance and well it’s in a 2” pot terracotta. What can I do to make it look healthier. It looks a mess as if they ran out of plants and practically tie it together. And it’s not the case for the other plant I purchased. N’Joy Pothos

Succulent question for all you from the Midwest… I’m from MN & been reading different succulent blogs. People mention placing indoor succulents outside in the summer. Has anyone done this? I’m a little scared to do this because of bringing bugs back into the house in the fall when it becomes too cold outside. I’m tempted to leave well enough alone and keep my plants indoors near windows year round. Thanks for your thoughts & perspectives! ☺️

Hi I have a few points and questions I would like to ask about my succulents, 1. starting with the fact that I’ve had these succulents for about a month now and they still haven’t really rooted, and I’m wondering if that’s bad or is it just winter and I need to wait longer or what. 2. Secondly I have a stonecrop that was etiolating, and so I got a grow light to provide more light and I have seen some visible improvements in the color, but I have also noticed there have been a few leaves that have began turning yellow and shrivelling. It also lots many leaves when it was etiolating and I’m wondering they will grow back or not. 3. I have this cactus that had rot and I removed it and now I’m wondering if it’s looking good or not. 4. My Echeveria has some yellow shriveled leaves and I’m wondering jf it’s ok.

I’m a younger teen and I’m VERY new to plants, but I’d really like to own and take care of some but I don’t know what’s best for me to start with? I’m interested in succulents, cactuses, generally smaller potted plants and carnivorous plants and I’m willing to put in the time and effort to care for them! I don’t want to start taking care of one and it end up too difficult and it dies, I just don’t know what kind of plant(s) to start with.. any recommendations?

Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with my prickly pear? She’s 35 years old and I repotted because it was well over due! My grandma gave her to me and I want to keep her alive. Worried about this brown/yellow color, any ideas or advice?
