Just come back from a carboot and got all of these for ÂŁ3.20
Hello, I just got these succulents a few days ago I donât think they are supposed to be all in the same pot, and Iâm also not sure what kind they are. Any one have and tips on what I should do and what type they are? Thanks!
although my other two succulent babies died, i noticed this morning that my zig zag or fishbone cactus has a baby!! since mid June iâve been watering it pretty sparingly since itâs in my bathroom which is a pretty humid place in my house but it has plenty natural indirect light! im sooo excited to see growth as this will be my first *successful* propagation đ
UPDATE! After thinking about it all night, I decided to take out my Calandiva from her bigger pot, completely expose the roots to check for root rot (thankfully no signs of it), and then repot it into the only pot I had available with fresh dry soil. I made sure to gently pat the roots dry with a paper towel. Now I have her safely indoors in front of a North facing window (I have no windows that face south with a platform to set her on). I think I can save her! Her leaves are definitely not as droopy as last night :) Fingers crossed!! Side note: I 100% mean to put her back on the bigger pot once the soil in that one has dried. I would hate to waste so much soil.
Hello! Question: I repotted aloe last year and it has gotten huge. What should I do about the leaves that are so much that are lower than the pot and breaking at the tips? Do I need to repot in a bigger pot again? Thanks!
Went round my nans and she gave me this beauty 100% needs a re-pot
Went out today and got myself some friends who need a desperate re-pot
I just bought my first strings of pearls Iâm super excited! Does anyone have any tips?
Pictured here in glory and in death is Sixteen Bucks. This was my first Copiapoa, purchased on Etsy last year from a seller with a deceptive listing. âPictured with the pot it is inâ and then âships bare rootâ and some other contradictory info you would still have to mentally negotiate to understand it comes sans pot. I believe I used the sentence âwhy would I pay $16 for a rootless nub?â I mean, I will pay that again at some point Iâm sure, but thatâs not the point lol. So, goodbye. It is half the diameter as when I started. I see one tiny little thing happening underneath, which could be a child or mold; the babies on another of my Copiapoa were exactly the green and white color spectrum generally represented by mold; if you were told to draw mold, thatâs how the gooey, forming children appear.
#1,2,3,4,5,6,7 = Hens and Chicks DONE!! Tray #2 (I understand there are duplicates)
Who wants to play Name That Succulent?? How fun! I am a brand new plant parent and got all these guys on clearance at the grocery for $7.99 (both trays) but donât know what they are. When I scan them with the app I get Mexican Snowball 75% of the time. I suspect I have figured some of them out, but an experienced green thumb is always better. Any help would be much appreciated. Tray # 1
Hello! Can anyone tell me what type of cactus he is? Thank you! His original pot said âNotocactus Elegansâ but nothing came up in this app for that.
Succulent Sharing Saturday! This is P.C. my Pencil Cactus. (Or also known as Fire-stick Cactus if you can get the right combination of cooler fall weather and less sun. Hard to do in Philadelphia normally.) I got P.C. In 2001 from a small grocery store window. I thought âAwe how cute. A mini Cactus with its arms up like a big Arizona Cactus. Well I had no idea what this guy turns into. By 2022 Spring he was all over the place, huge and sprawling. I hated it. By Summer 2022 I gave him a severe haircut back to his slim shape. I also gave him a new pot at the time. 3 weeks later the Grimm Rooter came, the equivalent of the Grimm Reaper for humans but the Grimm Rooter comes for plants. P.C. was dying because he was drowning in his new pot. Not enough perlite. I changed out the dirt and he recovered. As for the Grimm Rooter I told him he could take the African Violets that had become a pain to maintain. Summer 2023 and P.C. got a new pot. He loves being outside May thru October, maybe even to November if itâs nice out. I just need to find a stylist for the crazy growth and look. I canât go through another trim with me feeling like Iâm Joan Crawford cutting Christinaâs hair because it has setting solution. Two original pics and two now pics.
After some research, I decided that it would be better to propagate my jade plant cutting in soil rather than water. So after letting it callous, I stuck it in some soil for 2 weeks but nothing happened.. (it was succulent soil so it might've just been too dry?) BUT 2 days ago I caved and stuck it in water and this is already the result! For succulents I am usually a soil propagator so I don't know much about water prop or how long this will last but very excited đ
Omg Iâm freaking out. I think my Calandiva drowned. It rained in Texas pretty hard this week and I completely forgot I had repotted her and left her outside the day before (It rained Wednesday). I left her outside thinking the sun would âdryâ her out and everything would be okay, but now Iâm not so sure. I brought her in and she looks pretty droopy, the soil is definitely VERY moist. What do I do???!
Needing advice! Iâve had a sting of pearls plant for almost a year and I love it and yesterday i got a variegated sting of pearls, which i already love! I assumed the care for it would be the same but the app is telling me i should water the variegated one every 3 weeks as opposed to every 2 weeks iâve been watering my other ones. Is this correct? Please help đ
What kind of plant is this ?
I received this plant like this in the mail:/ Any tips?
My pride and joy! The photo on the left is when I got it a little over 2 years ago and the right photo was a few days ago đ
