Will my cactus be okay? It developed some squishy black flesh that I carved away. This âscabâ is what remains after it dried out. Will it recover? One photo to show the damage, another to see how far heâs come!

Warning about fake flowers ! So - I had this cactus with these cute flowers on, but I wasnt sure if they were real or fake. I asked this circle and got mostly people saying they looked fake. They didn't look like right kind of flower, they weren't growing out of the areolas, etc. but I was still very confused because I was SURE they werent glued on, I could see they were "growing out" Today I decided to just pluck one out with tweezers and have a look. To my shock the flowers were all stuck inside of my cactus with long sticks. Not glued on. I'm not sure if theyre real flowers from some other plant with toothpick kind of sticks or just fake flowers altogether. But I'm pretty sure this is not how cactuses grow flower. It's left huge deep holes all over my cactus:( Has anyone ever seen this before? No one seemed to know about this kind of thing when I was figuring out if they were fake flowers or not. I'm in England, so I don't know if this is just something they do in the UK? I thought I'd share to warn anyone else who has these type of "flowers" and of course, if I have somehow managed to get this wrong.
Hi! My prickly pears have been thriving after recently propagating them. This morning they looked normal but by noon I noticed a couple of them beginning to wilt. I know theyâre not overwatered, but I think itâs too cold in my office. Would putting them in a warmer temp help them snap back? Any suggestions?
Chet, again. Iâm changing it to Chets until that twin splits. Iâm curious as to what the fudge. Pics of potential outcomes included. Maybe itâs time to rethink the âit should only have two sets of leavesâ idea.
So I live in northern Missouri and Iâm trying to find succulent and cactus that are cold resilient and native that I could plant in my flower beds? Iâve found a couple species online but I wanted to see what people recommended to me? I know there are at least two kinds because my college has them in their native prairie plant flowerbeds around the science building year around.
Purchased locally a few weeks ago. I lost my mind when I saw it - there were three other pots like this. Look close on the middle nub and youâll see the tiniest baby. I was committed to an outside experience, but itâs like three weeks until the season changes again. That indoor spot is the Sun King, so letâs see how it goes. Will I divide it and attempt some kind of financial gain? I have never come out ahead on shipping anything, so come see me ha. Copiapoa Crazy.

Just want to show off my little open air lithop terrariums I made today! My boyfriend had a bunch of closed âpossibleâ geodes in the backyard, so I smashed them open and found some fun stuff! Left plenty of room for drainage in the bottom, so hopefully that will be enough. I barely was watering them as it is.
hey! this is my first bunny ears cactus and i was wondering that little green bud is that cactus growth or is it flowering?
What are these roots for on my dragon plant?? I get them on my fishbone cactus as well not sure what to do with them.
got my second little greenhouse this one is for my succulents! đ”
Hey can anyone tell me whatâs wrong with this moon cactus? I just got it and literally know nothing about plants but Iâm guessing the browning at the edges is bad.
The final plant of the quartet I stumbled upon last week at a local sale is Haworthia truncata or Horse Teeth. Like most of the mimicry plants of South Africa, it has eyes on top of the leaf. Iâm still figuring out where it wants to be, and am thinking about burying it a little deeper. Score.
Hi, does anyone know what these brown tiny spots are on this succulent (Gasteraloe) ? It looks like the white bumps turned brown or something. Could it be from sun burn? Or maybe overwatering? It sits by a west facing window so receives part sun/shade. I donât really like the soil itâs in, I think it may need a better draining soil, but Iâve been traveling for work so I donât have any of my plant supplies with me :/ it looks like itâs mainly on the outside leaves; all the new growth in the center still looks healthy, and all white bumps.
All I do is love my succulents but they donât love me
Hey yâall! I recently just got this guy. I think itâs a peacock echeveria? Thereâs a total of I think 5 of the âflowersâ in this pot right now. Iâm completely new to plant-care and am looking for suggestions! Right now sheâs living in my windowsill in my dorm where she gets partial sunlight in the mornings/early afternoons, and Iâve watered her once since I got her two weeks ago. What are some things I should do right away or be aware of?
