Can any of these succulents I have be planted together?
Hi! I bought some greedy mix for my new succulents. Should I mix some soil in with it or use the greedy mix alone. Thanks!
My baseball cactus bloomed a couple flowers 🤗
This is my rat tail cactus. It's in a SW window and I water it when it's totally dry. Some of the legs are turning brown. Not sure why. They're not dying, just getting a brown tinge. Any ideas?
Should I repot my old man of the Andes? I’ve had it for about a year and there’s hardly any space around it in the pot. The soil has also packed down a lot in that time and it’s gotten fairly top-heavy. (Please note I am aware of the etiolation, it was like that when I got it but has started widening out at the top! ☺️)
3 months later…love her!
I am looking for the cause of the brown lines on these leaves. The lines create a scar as well, an indentation on the side of each leaf. I’ve had same problem on a couple other succulents, but they keep growing as if nothing is wrong.
Hi! New plant owner here! I would really like some help identifying and figuring out what I’m doing wrong with these plants. The smaller plants came from the larger plant sand it seems like the smaller ones are doing worse. I’ve tried so many different methods to figure out what variety these plants are to figure out what I’m doing wrong. Please help!!
So I’m now at 41 plants since starting my plant journey this past July. I had to save the aloe from the curb. There were like 12 of them lol I took 2. Couldnt help myself haha
I was told to grow this in a shallow pot where the plant can continue its counterclockwise growth. Well, that "pot" is completely out of control big (pictured), and so so does not fit. However, yep, it is headed - per those pups - for another counterclockwise trip around the Sun/a black plastic pot.
Some of my S. African friends in motion - even if it's slow motion. The Karoo Rose is a really fascinating, confusing ball of wrinkles and showy, bright blooms; in this stage, I could watch it unfolding in almost real-time. I did try the "paint brush in the flower pollen," but across species. It will produce no Karoo Rose x Lithops hybrid. Or will it? Every one of these "open, split horizontal, open, split vertically" came from the same ooze with a slightly different taxonomy. Dreamy Sunday thoughts. Note the brownish red Lithops duo who refuse to eat their young thus far lol. Also, check out those tiny lithops, who are at least two years old. I thought about tossing them, twice, but the roots are very established and clinging. Fun fact: I recently read that Lithops do benefit from a fertilizer, but the nitrogen should be low-ish. Lithops and all the scorched desert/ quartz mine dwellers absorb nutrients more slowly because, well, the organic matter in a quartz mine is scarce. Slow chewers who like light drinks of water, basically...but I am also insistent on an occasional Spring bottom watering. But maybe now I get what people mean by "fertilizer them sometimes." I'm not a flipping greenhouse so IDK. That kind of accounts for the more humidity-gathering blue columnars and melocactus who live in similar inorganic conditions. They are so slow to mature for a reason. Same with barrel cactus, etc. etc. Yes, that outdoor cactus is thriving in completely impacted sand and rocks, and it knows what it's doing. Don't dig it up and add Pearlite :) Okay, enough fake Scientific Model talk. Look at my flowers.
Help!! I’ve had this crassula since June this year It had a rough winter and the leaves were all falling off so I gave it a trim but I’m a bit worried that I might be killing it at this point :(( It was the first plant I got so I’m very determined to keep it alive, but I was very slack with it over the winter and have only now begun to establish the proper care it needs Any help or advice is appreciated TIA
My friend gave me this succulent and I have no idea what this is, does anyone have an idea?
Hi! Does anyone know if this is a variegated prickly pear cactus or if that's just how they look normally? The only ones I've ever seen before were giant wild ones in Texas lol so I have no idea if this is just how they are!
I’m not sure where to ask this question. I’m about to add a grow light to my indoor Portulacaria Afra bonsai. Do I need to adjust the watering schedule when I add this light? Where on this app can I adjust reminders when I add the grow light?
Finally, spike is fully healed and growing in a new direction. Root rot took him back almost a 1ft&7in, but now he’s repotted and looks great.
Cordelia (String of hearts) is getting so long again! Her first time growing I think she grew to more than 15 feet in a year and a half. Now this second generation growth is already blowing my mind after a couple of months🧡
While moving, I left my string of pearl babies at a friend‘s house. Unfortunately, when I went back two months later, they were all but dead.😵💀 the soil was hard as a rack so I soaked it, but I thought maybe I overwatered it so because it was cold last night, I put the heat on and put them in the window that the heat hits to dry out some of the soil, do you guys have any suggestions? I took off all of the dead tenders and this is what is left.
Felipe...Calm down, King, you're doing too much. We already know - nobody's touching this glow.
