STRING OF PEARLS QUESTION
My new string of pearls soil is damp. It was watered 19 days ago. Is it weird that itâs still damp? Also some strands shriveled up and when I squeeze the beads theyâre not entirely firm but not super squishy thereâs a little give to them tho. Any thoughts on what to do? Should I leave it alone or is it over watered?
The Middletonâs
Iâm finally able to start transforming my space into something that feels like home, that feels ârightâ. I obtained a pathos a week ago and transplanted it into my isopod habitat and then yesterday my husband and I repotted a few things we had on hand. There was an alligator plant we put in a pretty clay pot and a big bushy succulent (a rescue from Loweâs) thatâs going dormant we put out in the yard. Heâs had a tall harry fella that looks obscene that started out as a cheap Walmart cactus quite a long time ago. So the bug bit me hard last night and I added 4 more plants including a painted young short leaf aloe, a golden barrel ball cactus. One of those neat tri sectioned cacti with the colorful ball top⊠I also picked up my first monstera! have the technical name for them but theyâre back in my plant list. I put the little tri guy in with my snake plant I repotted. Itâs been struggling because it was left out in the cold a couple times but weâll take good care of her now⊠oh! And my big ole rosemary who is also a rescue. I can give you all of their new names but this post is already too long đ

Kids gone
Please meet my girl Sharon,
sheâs not doing well. Iâm looking for some advice on her care.
Iâve had her for a little over 2 month. She was hanging in my bathroom over my tub so she did get a little humidity in the evenings. But I noticed just recently when I get home from work, she was dropping little droplets in my tub. Iâm so frustrated cause I want her to be OK. Any suggestions anyone? And by the way I donât use a heating in my home itâs pretty cold here in Los Angeles in the evening upper 40âs at night.

Any thoughts on what type of cactus this is?
I was told it is a Peanut cactus but the spines are not too soft and they are golden. It also doesnât seem as thick as a peanut cactus but itâs not thin enough to be a Rattail cactus. Hand for size reference. So confused! đ€
Side note: I know heâs looking a bit rough. He got knocked over yesterday and needs some TLC.

My succulent isnât looking very good. It doesnât have many roots or a stem to really hold it in the soil. Itâs more just resting on top of the soil. How can I encourage root growth and save it?

Hellooo! I am hoping for some tips for repotting this buddy. I know string of pearls usually have pretty shallow roots and you shouldnât have to repot them too often, but this baby is big and I donât want any rot or overcrowding to happen. Iâve noticed the top of her head has gotten a bit crowded too, making it hard for me to check the soil for moisture. She still has some flowers so I think sheâs still happy but Iâm not sure 1) HOW to repot Iâd I should (I mean how do I not cause damage??), and 2) when itâs best to repot these. Thoughts??? Should I change the pot? I need to get to propagating lol

Help!!!!
Not sure whatâs going on with this guy. Seems like I might need to put some more cactus soil in its pot, because itâs kind of sticking out of it, meaning I can easily pull it out of the dirt. The bottom layer of leaves/stems are dried out as well (tried to get pictures). It also seems to be growing towards to one side. Thereâs also a little white fuzzy growth on it. Not sure if this is because the plant is a cobweb hens and chicksâŠIâm not really sure what this plant is, some people have told me itâs a type of house leek.
Also for more information, I live in Chicago, and this guy sits in the only north facing window that I have. It gets a little cold near the window. These days itâs cloudy most days, and around the 30s-40s outside, but I have my heater turned to 70. I repotted it from its plastic pot two or three months ago.

Has anyone successfully grown a split rock plant here? If so, can you share your watering schedule and do you know if the old dried up leaves need to be removed?

My little guy lost a limb today I just noticed. Does anyone know what happened or how I can help them survive moving forward? The rest of them seems to be in ok shape

Does anyone no what this is

Does anyone know if I put my holiday cactuses in one big pot if theyâll keep their original colors? I have about a dozen of them and I wanted to save space with one big pot.
(Might sound like a dumb question but I have peonies and roses outside that all seemed to blend.)

What were $25 are now $6. I only had to wait until December. I drove home that night with a vision of ten blue dudes in my window. âIâll just focus on blue plants, now.â
Caring for arrangements of different species make me nervous, but Iâm considering leaving these two together, as they have more or less the same needs. Judging by the bottom of the pot, Yellowmanâs roots are quite dominant.
I want to call attention to the light situation. I asked the garden person what they do to keep these alive. They sit on that shelf and get fluorescent store lights⊠They look great

So Iâm fairly new to cacti, and Iâm wondering what these green spiky things are. Are they how the spikes start out? Also, what conditions do cacti need to flower?

This cactus got too tall so I chopped it and put it on top the fridge to dry and forgot about it for a bit but when I remembered I decided to replant it back in the same spot. Been replanted for over a month and I just noticed the flower bud. I am not sure what type of cactus this but I imagine the flower once open will help me pinpoint it.

Whatâs in that sack, you creep? Just three green things I got on the coldest, worst air day so far this year. Island vibes only.
I went in to get the Corn Cob Euphorbia - I did not know that the white version is the variegated of the species - but this shop had a huge succulent drop last week.
Bah
Hey! Ever since I got a few of my succulents a few months back, Iâve noticed a few(around 3) of them have had their bottom growth dying off, the Black Prince had been doing that since I got it, all my plants are going noticeably. New growth, a good green hue, itâs just that the bottom leaves seem to be dying. My first guess couldâve been maybe Iâm watering them too much, I have them on a schedule obviously, and have been trying to sync up their watering times, but even before I replanted them, they would still be doing that.
I know my set up isnât perfect, I have them by a window with a good amount of light, but maybe it could be because itâs been a lot colder recently? It got down to about 15 degrees a few days ago. The last pictures been like that for a few days, it hasnât necessarily gotten worse, itâs just been drooping a lot, it has no visible signs of rot or anything.
