I have been wanting a VSOP & now that I got it I’m terrified!
Really want to change out the soil bc it’s super dense & I’m currently removing a bunch of mushed pearls & vines from what I can only assume was caused by them just sitting in the wet soil.
However I typically wait to repot new plants for a while or at least til the soil it’s in dries out.
Any advice or tips are appreciated 🌱✨

Need lots of help identifying all of my new succulents!

Hi! I’ve had this little succulent garden for a while now but have yet to put it into Planta. Since there are so many varieties in it, I don’t know which singular plant to enter it as for the best care instructions - any thoughts? It contains aloe, jade, echevaria I believe, and flaming Katy. I know regardless it will have a low watering demand. Thanks!

My beautiful string of hearts. I moved it here about 1 1/2 months ago and she has been loving it! I was worried I would’ve killed her by now lol but she is happy and healthy!

I’m new to sucs and cacti😝 Can anyone help me better understand why I am seeing long skinny growth? Not enough sunlight? Not enough water? Thank you😊

You know, I had planned on expanding my weird succulents collection until I saw these beauties. I would almost call them “Classically beautiful” in the Greek sense haha.

New to plants and gardening, took a clipping of my family’s Jade plant when moving house and as you can see the little jade is slowly growing, however it has recently sprouted this leggy thing. I’m not quite sure what is going on or if it is from the same cutting. Any info on what I should do with it is greatly appreciated!

Alright guys so I may have forgotten I had this cactus arrangement. How do I save it? Do I just need to remember to water a few times and go from there or where would be a good place to start. Can it be saved?

How are you guys naming your plants?
I have problem, the database off this app seem to have never seen the name of the plant type (if I am to trust the place that I buy them)! Is it that they are given zany names or that they are uncommon one?
My goal is to catalog them properly, it would be great to start with the proper name😞

Hey. So I have this little succulent here and I’m wondering… is he rootbound? Should I size up? He’s pretty tiny but yeah.

Can anyone tell me what is happening with my Chocolate Solider? It’s been going on for a while, but I just recently moved and its lighting situation has decreased from direct sunlight for 8+ hours a day to around 4hrs a day and I want to make sure its ok.

Hi! I bought a Horn Tree Jade plant today, and much to my surprise this little guy was already growing from a fallen leaf in the soil. I took it out and replanted in its own pot, any advice on how to make sure this grows into a full plant? (The leaf it has propagated from is under the soil, still attached) Thanks!

I got this plant about a month ago from a museum, and very much want to keep it alive as it is an anniversary gift!
I wasn’t told exactly what kind of plant it is, and was given very vague instructions on caring for it.
I have been watering whenever the soil feels dry, which has been every other day. But now it is wrinkled. Its color hasn’t changed, and it’s actually grown a bit since I brought it home, but I am concerned for the wrinkles! Does anyone have tips?

Hi succulent circle!!! I’ve had this echavaria for a few weeks and since I got her I have repotted her once and watered her about two or three times with a week or so in between each watering. I noticed one leaf looking a bit discolored and shriveled a few days after watering and adding a bit of extra soil to the top. Any ideas on what could be the issues or is it just something that happens?? Thank you!!

FYI if there are mushrooms growing in your succulent or cactus pots, that is not good. I’ve seen so much misinformation spread here.
Mushroom thrive in wet, damp soil. Succulents and cacti are native to arid regions or deserts. These two are incompatible with each other. Your soil being healthy enough to support mushrooms doesn’t matter when there’s way too much moisture that will eventually kill your succulents and cacti.
