First time taking care of a succulent. Are the petals supposed to look dry? When I researched it showed that the petals were really plump and green or whatever color they come in. I don’t know if I’m watering my plant enough or if this is normal. I watered my plant this Sunday and it does have slow fertilizer in the soil.

So here’s an interesting find. I got this variety of succulent plants from a Trader Joe’s store about 3 weeks ago. I’ve used this app to identify each plant, which include: echeveria, ghost plant, jade plant, jade plant ā€˜horn tree’, ogre ears, greene’s liveforever, and shooting star golden sedum. This totals to 7 different plants, which I got for $6. Now that I think about it, a pretty good deal. They all came planted together in one 6ā€ terracotta pot. My question is, can I leave these plants together, or should I remove them and repot each one individually in their own separate pots? I want them to thrive and I’m not sure if leaving them together would be the best option for them, even though they look really great together. Your input is appreciated! c:

Hey Planties! I have this cactus (not sure the specific species twas a gift) that’s been slowing leaning over the past few months. It seems to be healthy, no rot in sight, but I’ve been pondering how I should repot it. I don’t know if it likes to be leaning, or if I should go straight up with it. Lmk if yall have any advice, regardless im excited to repot!šŸ™šŸ¼

Poquito got a new pot 🄰! His sun burn hasn’t gotten worse since having him inside with a grow light, we fertilized today, and he’s not dead so a win is a win 😁. Louisiana sun was about to take him out before he had a chance to live. Can’t wait to continue to turn my thumb green šŸ‘šŸ¾

I found a plant!🤣 Planta said I had a gollum jade plant, and I remember buying it a year or two ago. But I don’t remember the last time I saw it so I assumed it died last year over the several month stretch I was very sick. But I just found it!!🄳 I have several plants that I’m not sure I own anymore but I also have several propagations from their leaves, so I am waiting until they are bigger to see which ones they are. But they are all grapetoveria or sedums (or some similar cross) so definitely not a jade. This gollum plant has been nagging me for an update for 11 months and I keep snoozing it. 😓 I just realized this week that when I mindlessly water all the plants in the school room, I am watering two jade plants. The variegated one and another funny/stunted looking jade. I’m always doing school with my kids as I do this, so I’m never really paying attention to which plant. Just if it needs water. I finally registered I had that second jade up there and was really feeling crazy.🤪 I KNOW I didn’t buy a traditional jade because as much as I wanted one, my mom had one that I was going to get a leaf from when it got bigger. She has decided to give it to me as she wasn’t able to give it enough light and she knew I loved them.ā¤ļø But that is somewhere else. So where in the world did this jade come from?!🤪 On a whim, I decided to scan it on Planta and every single scan came back gollum jade.🤣 It has much more normal looking leaves then I remember, but I guess it’s been hiding in plain site this whole time! Apparently I’ve been mindlessly caring for it for the last year!šŸ˜„

Hi Friends! This is a Queen of the Night (Epiphyllum Oxypetalum). I brought it home from a green house around a month ago and it’s perked up quite a bit. Still in the nursery pot as I wanted to acclimate it. I watered it for the first time last week and I’m noticing what looks like aerial roots growing from the longest leaves on the plant. Does anyone have experience with these that can advise what I can do to help? I’m assuming it’s to help it grow taller, have you used a moss pole? Or are these blooms? Appreciate any guidance!

How do setup plants in Planta when you have multiple in one pot? I have them added as separate plants currently but that’s not really working with tasks happening on different days per plant. Should I start it as just one plant?
