Echinopsis Cometa still cheering with pom poms on this dreary rainy day ☺️
I’ve never had a cactus deflate before! What on earth did I do? The only thing I can figure is that I overwatered or something because the mid to deep soil was damp. It’s in a window and the other cacti are in great shape. The skewer shown was in the pot permanently. I only just today pulled it out to check the soil. (The other cacti are in the same location. Final skewer was left in for about a minute. Is there any hope at all for him?
Flowers have bloomed!
Is this salvageable? This cactus was in a nursery pot that was planted with 5 other cacti. The pot was getting too crowded so we went to repot and this is what we found. All the bottoms of the others also look the same. Nothing smells rotten but not sure if these are past the saving point. Thanks for the help!
Random question… Are succulents edible? I ask this because when propagating my succulent it smelled like freshly cut lettuce. 🤷♀️ I mean I know there are edible flowers too. Maybe the succulent’s flowers are edible????? Maybe they’re both poisonous and I shouldn’t put them in my mouth 😂😅. M
Two new babies today! 🙂
Hello, the soil in my snake plant is super stiff and feels almost like styrofoam. I can’t even stick my finger in it to check the moisture level it’s so stiff. Does anyone know why this is? It’s in the original pot and soil from the nursery.
Hi! My sister had this succulent in her apartment. It sat right in the window (though she kept the blinds closed, sun still peaked through them) and she believes she’s been watering it about once a month. It has lost many leaves, but has much more new growth. When she first got the plant, the entire plant was the same color (the color of the biggest leaves). The plant is really delicate and frail. Any suggestions?
I think I may have actually run out of room
just bought my very fist plant from trader joe’s, i was told to water it until water comes out of the drainage hole, i looked at the bottom and there are no drainage holes! should i repot it in a pot with holes at the bottom ?
Can I set her outside during the day and bring her back in at night?
Hello! My father and I found a stump about 10 years ago that has now turned into this guy. We just don’t know what it is exactly. It blooms at night only, every so often. My dad’s a Sonoran desert( where we live)plant buff so it’s really been bothering us lol. The closest I could find was some Peruvian type of cactus but I just can’t find any info anywhere and if I find a similar looking one they all look slightly different or don’t have night blooms, any idea what this guy is called/ originates from? :) thank you.
Is it time to repot in a bigger pot?
Any Aloe plant experts? This plant was gifted to me a couple years ago and I have the hardest time figuring out what it wants. The leaves always fall over and bend but it sent out two pups last year. I tried putting it outside in the sun last year and it turned brown and looked dead. Then I stuck it in a corner by my deck behind some other plants to die and it came back, green as ever! It’s been inside all winter but now the leaves are bending again! What should I do?!
Ok my turn. Today I have to be Tonya Harding and shorten the legs of some of my succulents. I’m terrified that I’m going to kill them. - Red circle: 2 years old, HomeDepot rescue back then. He actually loves the pot he’s in. Recommendation? Instructions? - Yellow Arrows: Also 2 years old, Etsy purchase. Originally was 1 rosette, and the most amazing darkest green too. Now I have 3 leggy succulents. Recommendation? Instructions? - Orange circles: Leaves fall off the succulents and I throw them in one of the pots and say to the leaf… “Speedy growth to you! Good luck!” Recommendation and instructions for the smallest succulents in growth? - Blue circle. Another throw the leaf in that pot item but also with my hairy stemmed succulent that I just about killed last year after repotting. I am terrified to touch, remove, cut and replant red circle, yellow arrows, and orange circles. 😳😬😱🙀🫣🫨😲 This must be what it feels like to be a doctor on the Appalachian Trail, or a doctor in a state that forces women to be baby factories. I need the expertise of a specialist who currently does not exist where I am.
My 1st succulent 😁
2 days later, other 5 flowers are about to bloom. Start opening at night and full bloom during the day. Only last 1 day, but they are worthied.
One of these two in the back are the culprit of this broken aloe stem. But now what do I do?😫
Any idea what plant this is? I’ve had it for a year or two and I have no idea what it is. Planta is saying Pig’s Ear and GoogleLense is saying Jade Plant. It is neither of those and i’m struggling to find anything similar. Thanks!
