Is anyone familiar with this Echeveria hybrid Raquel? I bought it several weeks ago because it was one I had never heard of. I think those are flower stalks coming out of the sides. But I donât recall echeverias having leaves on the flower stalks. Very little info online. And I donât think itâs etoliated because itâs under a very bright grow light. In fact it actually got a little burned from it. It has grown a lot in very shot time.

I have an old lady cactus with an artificial flower hot glued on top⊠I wanted to remove it a while ago, because itâs inhibiting the growth, but all I could find online was using a heat fun to melt the glue? Iâm afraid of singing the fuzz on my cactus. So, Iâve been ignoring the problem but I really need to do something! What should I do?? đ©
So Iâve had this split rock for about three months. Heâs been doing fine. Iâve been following Plantaâs watering schedule. I looked at him today and his one side looked rotten and deflated with a white mold material. It was very sudden and I wonder if he has any chance or if this is somehow normal? I just looked at his roots and they look dry but Iâm not sure how they are supposed to look since itâs pretty draught-resistant. I removed the (leaf?) which maybe I shouldnât have doneâŠ
I was watching a thing and saw this plant in the winner's circle. So, by default, my plant is also a red ribbon winner.
I need help identifying this plant. The scanner says it's one called a "pig ear" but I'm just not sure that's right. I tried using google and it gave me so many different answers that I just don't know.
Isn't she lovely... Isn't she wonderful đ¶đ¶đ¶... Happy 4th y'all!
Hi! I just picked this up on clearance at my local store and itâs beautiful. Itâs showing up as a Ficus Microcarpa on the identifier but it does not have a twisted trunk its growing on a stake. Anyone have one of these? Just thought I would share!
The roofers hurt my prickly pear! Any suggestions? Some are loose at the corking, some are broken/torn in the middle. Should I cut them off?
Help! Does anyone know much about domino cacti? Is this too far gone to save? I just transplanted it & checked the roots..they were dry. Planta said I under-watered it, which I assume is correct. Thanks!
I just repotted these four in a chunky soil. I hope theyâll finally be happy and thrive now. lol.
When googling, I was convinced that I could put this plant outside for the summer (in Ontario). Now Iâm second guessing this. What have people found? Before putting it outside, this plant and I have not been getting along over too well for the past few years đ
Hello! My snake plant, Calypso, has several pups growing right now, and is love to propagate them but donât know how. Any advice or tips for propagation are extremely appreciated! Iâve tried propping from leaf cuttings but have failed each time. Iâve heard that pup propping is more successful, but I want to be careful and not waste any of these babies. Thank you so much!
Monthly status check, looking good
I bought this about a month and a half ago, maybe closer to two months now. I just found out itâs a Donkey tail through the plant ID. It has a few tails (not sure if thatâs the appropriate term for this plant). Itâs very delicate and the leaves fall off. Iâm wondering if I should cut the long empty pieces and propagate the ends. You can see new growth near the roots. Iâm just not sure what to do. Iâve had other succulent plants before, but this is my first Donkey Tail. Will leaves grow in the this empty space. Does cutting the tails help? Any suggestions?
My string of pearls is starting to die and Iâm crazy about it! Anyone have any tips or suggestions?
Ignore the prickly pear in the pot lol these sprouted out of the original prickly pear soil and Iâve been letting them grow for about 6 months trying to figure out where they came from or what they are. At first I thought maybe baby prickly pears but now Iâm wondering otherwise. Anyone know? Google wasnât very informative.
Hello! New plant carer here! I was wondering what succulent food/fertilizer you use? Iâve had an echevaria for almost a year now have done nothing with her I lowkey forgot đ and sheâs thriving. But going forward with new ones Iâd like to take proper care of them á”Ì
Can anyone give me some tips to encourage my aeonium arboreum schwarzkopf to grow faster? They just donât seem to be doing that well. Theyâre under a grow light all day and Iâve been fertilising them according to Plant schedule.
1st pic: when I bought it about 2 months ago (only shows 1 side). 2nd pic: now. I canât believe it already shot out a death bloom and itâs so small.
Hi! *Beheading question! Iâm not sure if my other posts are visible here but Iâm very new to keeping succulents, and VERY new to keeping them alive. Still not sure Iâm doing that, but we persist. My plant IDs might be off, so please feel free to correct me! I have an important question about my echeveria chroma (again, not 100% on the ID, but it was advertised as such) and potential beheading! Before I get too crazy and have to learn how to properly behead a plant, can anyone tell me if this is beheading material, decent growth, etc? I think I expected this plant, as an echeveria, to be more compact (I have an echeveria painted lady that is very stereotypically beautiful!) but upon arrival it had a bit of height to it. Much to my surprise and delight, this thing has been GROWING. I think there was new leaf formation daily for the first few weeks. Itâs gotten slower now as the two bigger ârosettesâ have formed at the top, but when the plant arrived it was very plain looking and had no rosette formations. I think theyâre beautiful, and they look like a good thing, but I donât want to ruin them before they get a chance to thrive! Iâve had it for about a month and have attached photos with the newest leaves, both with the area I am concerned about circled and without, for visibility! I donât want this little portion of the plant to die due to its position in between two other main stems, but I have NO idea what Iâd be getting myself into removing part of this plant and attempting to get it to root, etc. Overall, the plant seems really healthy and happy (yay!) but I want to keep it that way, and I know with succulents, typically, less is more. I also understand that this is not propagating, so the entire process would look different than removing a single leaf, and thereâs a chance the removed leaves/rosettes/baby plant(?) wonât make it or Iâll traumatize the original plant. What would you do?! If thereâs any info I can add that would be helpful, please let me know! I appreciate all information in advance â the internet is vast and conflicting and I consistently get great, helpful feedback on this app. Any advice is welcome, and highly appreciated! Thank you! (Please ignore the ~etoliated leaf. Weâre doing our best here and it was really long when I got it!)
