Hi! I just picked this up on clearance at my local store and itâs beautiful. Itâs showing up as a Ficus Microcarpa on the identifier but it does not have a twisted trunk its growing on a stake. Anyone have one of these? Just thought I would share!
I just grabbed the same one, mine looks much worse. I think itâs a Hoya. Just havenât narrowed it down yet. Maybe a carnosa?

Hoya Cumingiana. Itâs a fast grower. Itâs not fussy even with my low watering and too low lighting last winter. It never dropped a leaf. Mine just bloomed. Smells like ripe mangoes!đ„
Completely agree with Sunny on this one. Definitely a Hoya Cumingiana. Iâve seen them a lot at Loweâs, and theyâre not always properly labeled. You can keep it on the trellis as is, or turn it into a trailing plant in a hanging planter đ good luck with it!
3 gillningar Thank you all so much! Thats where I got it. Ill leave it on the trellis for now. The blooms look beautiful! I hope im successful with it!

Very pretty!!!!
1 gillaIt kinda DOES look like a Ficus Microcarpa. I have one but as a bonsai as shown below. Reason why the ficus youâve seen are twisted is that its trunk has been âtrainedâ through wires and some through grafting using multiple Microcarpa. The one you have still is just as wired.
Oh yes I see what you mean! It does look like yours with the leaves.

I got this from Loweâs too and then all of a sudden my one stem died. I have no idea what happened but Iâm hoping the other side survives
0 gillningar Oh really? So far mine is ok. I love it and really hope it survives. Are you planning on transplanting it? The pot seems small.
0 gillningar No but I also donât want to stress the plant out right now. Mine seems fine in the pot itâs in.
