Hi, I have this Fairy washboard which I have been left in charge to care for by for by my 6 year old daughter. Thanks to this app I have had no issues caring for it and can see it is thriving! My question is the flower/ stem growing out of the middle is there something I should do with it? Can I replant it? What can or should I do with it?
Any help will greatly be appreciated.

I’m considering repotting my Crassula to larger pot (it’s currently in a 2” pot). But the next size up available is a 4” pot. My questions are:
1) should I just fill the 4” halfway full of soil so as to not be an excessive amount for the size plant?
2) or do I just leave it in the 2” pot for a while longer? It’s getting top heavy.
3) or what’s advised?

Hi, need some help here.my plant is growing big and the stem isn't as thick, and it's starting to lean, and i've noticed that the pot is what's holding it upright, what can I do? And is it in too small, a pot.

This is an echeveria pulidonis. I got it about a year ago and it has grown beautifully but recently I noticed one of the lower leaves doing something weird almost like splitting? No physical damage has occurred that I can recall(other than the one leaf that appears broken off). About a week ago I looked again and realized it was actually multiple leaves that had this, some on the sides some in the middle. It’s only on about four of five leaves on the bottom, but I have never seen this before and can’t find any information. Planta says over watering(root rot) but this plant does not have root rot as far as I can see and I only water when the soil is completely dry. And other than this issue the plant is thriving.
Does anyone know what this is?

ADVICE PLEASE 🙏🏼 I got these cute little succulents about 1 year ago & they’ve been growing their little hearts out on the window sill. Family watered while I was abroad & I got back to find this… I know bottom leaves shrivel off as a succulent grows upward…. But they’ve seemed to grow a little *too much*.
Tried looking in plant books & online & yet I can’t find good guidance on why to do when such a large percentage of the plant dried out. Most places say to just pick off the dead leaves - but there’s so much stem on these that they can’t even hold themselves up. What do I do? Put them in bigger pots & give them support? Can I chop off/bury the entire stem & just leave the healthy tops?
The tops are still growing - I see them sprout new leaves & get taller every week.

Hey cactus crew! This is my cactus, I named him Alligator Dave but am unsure of the exact cactus species if anyone could clarify. I'm posting here because Alligator Dave doesn't look too healthy, there's some brown corking and discoloration of such. Does anyone have a fix or know why? Thanks.

So much green and grey with dashes of troubling yellow - and the aloe who turned deep violet with red racing stripes.

I repotted this string of turtles from its nursery pot in June when I received it. Shes grown quite a bit! Should I repot so soon? Shes looking like shes exploding out of the pot.

Help !!!
My cat just knocked my plant over is there any way to save this !!?!?

Perspective is a wild thing with us humans. Someone else sees trash to the curb, I see a jaw dropping cereus score. The bigger pieces are 6+ ft tall!! Can easily turn this into 15 plus healthy growing sections. 💪 Cheers to curb finds and propagation!! New cactus garden incoming, who dis? 🤘😎🌵

I used to have a pencil cactus in Florida that grew so tall I had to keep cutting it back. I ended up with around 5 huge pencils. When we moved to TN I missed her so my daughter and her hubs bought me this beauty!

Hi All! So I observed that every time I repot my succulents (happy and have been around over a tear or two+) in ferti-lome (my usual go to brand) succulent soil the soil has consistently retained to much water despite being mixed with drainage components. The result: my very healthy succulents get sick after one watering/2-3 weeks once repotted.
Has anyone else experience this? What’s your go to for succulent soil?

Larry is a peperomia columella that I got recently., and he’s drooping. I mostly have cacti and they’ve all thrived so this is the first time I’ve worried. The internet seems to suggest he’s being overwatered but his soil seems really dry. He’s in a draining pot. He’s gets plenty of light. That’s my shadow in the photo. Thoughts?

Found this guy at Trader Joe’s. A few broke off so I’m going to attempt to propagate them and see if they grow roots themselves.

Hi all!
All of my plants bit the dirt (ha ha) after an experimental bottom watering gone root-rot. Lesson learned. Not always ideal for glazed pots in particular!
I have not tried to care for an Echeveria Perle Von Nurnberg yet, and this one is (in my minimal plant experience) absolutely massive. 4” approximately.
My new plants, including this one, arrived about one week ago in mostly dry soil, not *completely* crumbling, so I’m holding off on watering all of them for at least a few more days. North facing window light is trash, but my grow lights have been upgraded and doubled, and I used my bunny ear cactus as a metric for light success — it’s growing at an absurd rate, so I think I’ve hit the grow light sweet spot. All of this to say: I am 99% certain I do not have a water or light issue, for once!
Regarding this echeveria: does this need to be in a deeper pot? It arrived very much like this, after a period of rest it was transferred to its “home” pot from the plastic nursery pot. I added about a half of an inch of soil and some small bonsai pebbles as a topper to give it more opportunity to succeed.
However, it seems like it’s “throwing” little roots toward the soil and I don’t want them to be exposed to any pests/become damaged and compromise the plant.
I don’t want to disturb existing roots, this plant is very well-rooted and seems comfortable (with about an inch of extra perlite cacti soil beneath the root base) in the pot that it’s in, but if it requires more space, I can transfer it.
I’m also not sure if these are just the result of the lowest leaves (maybe 1-2) inevitably being weak and removed/knocked off shortly after “settling in.”
All opinions and advice are welcome! This plant is very new to me and I have a similar-sized echeveria chroma (a favorite!) that is also SO tall, and I feel I might run into this problem with that one even though it is in a terra-cotta pot with a wider top.
Two photos of the mystery roots, two photos of the plant for reference.
(It’s the pot, isn’t it?)
Dawn !!
People ask me if I like succulents. I tell them definitely not, they are just so easily killed. Anyways, these are my precious babies. ❤️
