So whilst inspecting my large cactus from my previous post, the entire body of it crumbled under its own weight and was very clearly rotted throughout from years of no drainage (I'm a bad plant mum). I have just propagated these 2 babies from it, the photos show where I cut them. Do they look okay? Or are they doomed too?

Hello all! I've grown this huge cactus for many years, it's slowly but surely started to look rotten(?). Since getting this app, and it telling me that this plant should have drainage holes (which it didn't for maybe 0 of those years!) I think I found the cause of the rotting, and have since repotted it. Is this cactus beyond saving? Is it time to propagate the new bobbly baby cacti growing on it? 😭🤞

Hi! I am a new plant mom and love it! I have a Christmas cactus that I found on the side of the road. It was alive in good condition so I scooped it up and repotted it! It had lots of flowers bloom from it but unfortunately the flowers keep dying and falling off. I water it when my app tells me to but it keeps happening. Any tips on keeping the flowers alive and thriving?! Thank you!!! (I attached a picture of all the flowers. They have all fallen off now :( )

Should I mist my Christmas cactus? I have more supplies coming in the mail but I’m still learning how to care for it.

I hear a humorous, tiny "roar" when I see that sun-stressed, chameleon leaf. Note the Kalenchoe that hitched a ride; both of these species tend to take over everything else in a suc arrangement, and I'm curious to see if they can peacefully coexist.

The plant is healthy without that .much light but I want to give it more light. What should I do?

One of my cactus' is doing really well but the other one has a giant brown dent in it. I give it plenty of water and sunlight. What does it need?

Home for the holidays… These plants are probably over 45 years old!! Pics don’t do their size justice. 🫣

My Lace Aloe has white spots that I think are mould because it’s in a moist place so is there anything I should do to help stop the mould from spreading and I’m going to try to keep it dry

Hey sorry, no pictures of this, but people who have ponytail palms may notice this. I’ve long wondered why all the ponytail palms sold in stores come with the tops shorn off and the many pups coming out of the sides. That’s not how they grow in nature. And they won’t get any bigger with the top shorn off. So why exactly do nurseries do this? Is it just to make them full at the top, so they look more interesting? I’ve searched online and can’t seem to find an answer. Personally, I think the plant is interesting enough without doing that because it will eventually grow into a big tree! Like my propagated baby.

Happy Holiday Season! (Not my plants)

(Photo is from a temporary spot, he's set up in a lovely spot by a window) Hello! I have a few questions from a beginner! I've just bought a Euphorbia horrida hybrid (specifically i believe grey-form but not 100%) and am planning on re-soiling him in a couple days I think he's doing alright; the baby is a good sign i'm hoping! And he feels very sturdy including towards the base. I didn't notice the stains until now but i hope it's nothing bad Rambling aside, questions below. Any help is very appreciated!: 1. Is he doing alright? Anything do i need to watch out for since he's bought from a hardware store? 2. Should i trim the dead (or maybe just dormant?) flowers or leave them be? 3. I have old Miracle-Gro succulent/cactus soil. Should i buy new soil or a different kind? I've heard mixed opinions on how good that soil is for draining 3.5. If that soil is fine, would it be fine for the winter? It supposedly has extra growth/nutrient stuff in it that might be bad during dormant months 4. When would be the best time for changing the soil? I read you want to water them and then wait 2-3 days for the roots to absorb some water. If the soil towards the bottom of the pot is still damp right now, should i change it to the proper soil when the next watering is? 5. When i do the soil change, should i go ahead and repot at the same time? Specifically into the unglazed pot shown (to get him out of the plastic). If so, how many drainage holes should i add (currently has none)? 6. Should i leave the baby or repot it into a smaller one? Or move it closer to the main one etc etc? Thank you so much for reading and for any help!!
