Hi!! I’ve had this succulent for a couple of years now and i just noticed today that the stem has turned a black color. This must’ve just happened because during it’s last watering day the stem was green. Is it salvageable? Any suggestions?

Hey! I know I’ve seen a girl here who has a corkscrew albuca. This was a plant on my list and I just got it! Planta is telling me to mist it which I didn’t think was right so I googled it and I’m getting mixed answers. Can anyone tell me light, watering and misting these from personal experience? Also I’m planning on repotting in same size terracotta pot. Thanks!

It’s July heat up in here, so I brought out a few who I believe can handle it - with a little acclimation. We have Brazil, Mexico and South Africa up on the shelf. The four on the bottom haven’t had full sun exposure in a while, but this inexpensive IKEA rack gives a nice buffer from mid day scorching. Plus, top and bottom are cool to the touch, which makes it my new unsung plant hero. You have to understand how many elaborate ways I had planned on trying to keep the murderous July/August sun and heat off my prime spot at my last place. Note the “cast” on Corpuscularia lehmannii. I guess it’s more of a girdle for support after so many splits. And it looks really plump and vibrant this evening. Yay, my plants survived me for one more day.

Help!! I repotted my dolphins and now this is happening I’ve only watered it once about two weeks ago. Can I save it? Or is it gone?

Hey y’all! I own this beautiful String Of Tears, but I feel like it’s unhealthy. The leaves fall off very often, and they seem to be discolored and the vines are dying. I recently repotted it from the container i bought it in, but the soil crumbled on my hands and the vines were unstable so I don’t think I repotted it correctly. Does anyone have any tips?

My Gymnocalcium baldianum flower finally opened up today. Im hoping both flowers will be open together for at least one day. 2nd pic is pollen taken from the flower at 100x!

I think my cat has been eating my Christmas cactus and now it looks pitiful! I have it on my counter and I’ve put things around it to keep my cat from chewing on leaves. I’ve watered it but it still looks withered. Help!

As soon as I saw this succulent i knew i had to have him. I didn’t notice when I bought him that there was a tiny new succulent growing under him. I named him Jack cause he’s a flapjack succulent, but when i saw the second lil guy start to grow I decided to name him after the baby Jack Jack from the incredibles and they are flourishing quite nicely🥹🥰 First pic is them now, second is the day I brought them home!

Question about Melocactus. Full sun? Any success growing one indoors? It’s one of my favorites, but the requirements make it something I wouldn’t recommend or give to anyone without that person having experience in patience. I’m certain I haven’t met heat needs that mirror Brazil. It looks healthy and all, but I’m wide-eyed every time a little more red pokes out. Additionally, though, that high school ceramics project pot gets hot to the touch in the sun. Lesson learned. It’s still a great pot. I reckon it’s still young, but I’m thinking of the future ☺️

My senecio antandroi is doing great. It is about 18-24" tall now in pot about 6-7 " wide. Should I repot it?

hello!! first post!! this is Curtis :D (the smiley is part of his name, legally) my mom got a bunch of cacti and succulents back in fall of 2021 and deemed me responsible for this guy. i knew he had grown but it’s crazy to see just how big he’s gotten after looking back at the first photo. he’s somewhere between 4 and 5 inches now!! he’s the first thing i’ve ever had to take care of (hence why i got this app to remind me) and i’m happy to see him grow so much under my care, even after some seemingly scary incidents ;-; i’m extremely new to plant care and don’t really know what i should be doing so if anyone has an questions, comments, or concerns please share!!! i’m happy to learn and wanna give Curt a happy & healthy life.
