Hey! I know I’ve seen a girl here who has a corkscrew albuca. This was a plant on my list and I just got it! Planta is telling me to mist it which I didn’t think was right so I googled it and I’m getting mixed answers. Can anyone tell me light, watering and misting these from personal experience? Also I’m planning on repotting in same size terracotta pot. Thanks!

Well misting doesn’t really do much because it can also attract pests and cause leaf root but instead I use a old diffuser which helps. You can also group plants closer together for a higher humidity

Don’t bother misting this guy. I repotted mine into Pon and it loves it. But any rocky succulent soil would also be good. Keep in mind these guys have opposite dormancy period as most plants (summer). So if and when you loose the leaves, its not dead! Just keep lightly moist (not wet) through dormancy period and it should come back in fall/winter.

I learned the dormancy thing a few years ago!

Super cool. I’ll research the dormancy period. I appreciate the advice. It seems to be in a peat based succulent soil but my other succulents are in more of a gravely soil. Do you think a repot with that alone in terracotta will be good or should I wait till fall?

I would think the sooner you can give it the medium it likes best the better. As soon as i repotted mine into Pon it started making a flower.
