Here’s another succulent that my sister asked me to revive for her lol any recommendations for what to do from here? The bottom of the stem is looking so bare & it’s leaning a lot more the last week or 2. It was in an east facing window before, but after we turned on the AC I moved it to the south window.

my sister is home from college and asked me to revive her dead succulents. This ghost plant was doing super well, now it’s looking leggy towards the top. I have it in a south window. Any other advice?

So excited! Succulents are my favorite, as you can see! That whole window is full. When did this group start? Can’t believe I missed it.

Just transplanted my giant Jade Plant into a nice terracotta pot from its old plastic one. This guy was being neglected from my worksite, they were about to throw it out! Fortunately, they let me keep it. I will take good care of it. :)

This neat looking plant is about to flower for me for the first time. Interested to see what it looks like. It’s called Anacampseros Crinita Dinter.

I got this prickly pear cutting from a friend and i planted it in some basic soil. I have fertilized it and it has grown like crazy in just a couple of days! If you have any tips pls let me know :)

I got a moisture meter and it’s a game changer. Don’t water your succulents till they are bone dry. Apparently I’m not allowed to post the link but here’s a pic of what I got. It was only $12 and will save you from having to buy new succulents 😆😎

I had plans to send Mando (90% of my plant names are barely puns on a species name, or inside jokes, or both) to St. George, Utah where he could thrive on a hot outdoor patio with a much longer Summer. Well, I hated that idea because look at him. He rules. My new patio is deathly hot right now and too much of a hassle due to also currently teaching dogs what a patio is. My vague plan of keeping this dude indoors was made real with this Relassy light. (I wish Relassy would notice how many times I mention them haha.) Any lights I use are because of “the best indoor plant lights” lists, and both of Relassy’s snake-arm types of lights are really bright and versatile. I took a light reading on one bulb and it was around 16,000 foot candles! I posted this somewhere else and was really amused at the shadow looking like Frankenstein. Then I looked again and realized everyone else was giggling for a different reason. See what you want to see lol.

Identify me please.. I’ve had these two for about a year. Some problems here or there with rotting leaves of, as you can see, some browning or slight discoloration, but they are hanging in there and I keep doing what I can to help them. Yet, I still do not really know what type they are. The light patterned dots are not raised and there is some jagged edging, which is kind of cool. Anyhow, any help all around is appreciated. I do have some new spouts coming up in both of them though. :)

Despite being a supposedly easy plant, this type of Bunny Ear opuntia has not been my friend. The first one I had seemed promising, but I knocked it over a few times… I got another one last Winter and watched it shrivel under grow lights and a modest amount of window sun. Here is another example of putting a plant in a bright/sunny south-facing window and letting it do its thing. I trimmed this off the last attempt, and it’s been kicking around but did absolutely nothing for months. I’ve been so deep on exotic plants where overthinking is inevitable. It’s nice to have a “duh” moment. It’s wrinkly but growing. Also, really easy to relocate if necessary. I believe the “pot” is supposed to hold butter, and Dremel-ing a drainage hole was surprisingly difficult.

Reading about watering…do I really need to NOT use tap water for my cacti and succulents that are house plants?

One big CHOLLA nugget… she did excellent for like a month and a half when I potted her and last week she was tipped over, distraught, rotted at the base… we are currently callusing over again to try this again… I really don’t know what went wrong cause I thought I put her in a pot wayyyy too big but in less than a month in a 6 inch diameter and 7 inch tall pot the roots were deep to the bottom and all over the place… it was an epically sad loss of roots… she better get it together. BUTTTT…. I did take 3 of the newly sprouted babies from her head just to show her who’s boss… actually she is def the boss. She wounds me every time I have to do anything with her… They are my little baby security deposits. 💰 She’ll be just fine!!!! She’s too much of a 🤬 to give up on maiming me this quickly!

Planta says this is an Aloe Vera. I’m wondering if anyone has any idea what else it might be? It’s not as fleshy as my actual aloe.

This is my moms plant and it is not doing very well at all…. I was just wondering what I could do to help it? It was just re-potted last week and the soil isn’t very wet. When I scanned it on the app it said that it was in a too dark spot and over watered. Some of the leaves have fallen off so I was wondering if I could put them in water and try to grow them like that and if so how do I do that? I was trying to not have to re-pot it since it was recently done and isn’t really wet. The plant attached is what it used to look like….. Please help!! Thanks in advance!
